  1. Been wondering where you were at on the progress of this. Looks like it came out to be mighty fine. Great job sir!
  2. That's outstanding, thank you Sven!
  3. Glad I didn't buy a resin update set for the old testors kit I've got laying around. Now I can get rid of that and get a "real" upgrade!
  4. Long chord wing? Do you mind elaborating a little more Sven as I don't think I've ever heard of that on an F-4. All I've ever been aware of is slatted and hard wings.
  5. This is really cool and you did a fantastic job of it. Just as a technical note however, we didn't have those turret systems on 1151s in 2004. It was just the "box" with blast shield. Some guys were lucky to get a secondary pintle mount at like the 2 or 3 'o clock position but it wasn't common until OIF III or IV. A third pintle mount is a SOF thing. The weapon systems you've chosen are inaccurate as well. The mini gun is only utilized by SOF, and the 40mm in the primary station you have is a MK 47 which wasn't introduced until after Operation Phantom Fury. Last bit is the placement of your vehicles. Unless your 1151 wants a 25mm or a TOW up its butt, I might suggest either switching the two or moving one altogether. During the battle, Brad's really carried the weight of being in the front. 6. At least the 'Comming Soon' wasn't spelled with an "U".
  7. Well the first question to ask is what're you looking to build, an A, B, or a D? I'm assuming you're referring to 1/48 as the AMK is only that scale. The GWH kit isn't even out yet so there's no opinion you can find anywhere or ask anyone about it. That leaves just the AMK and Tamiya kits, which would point this whole exercise to modelling a D. The Tamiya is already a known quantity, there are numerous builds of absolutely stunning depictions of it, and tons of reading material as far as accuracy and details if you do a simple search here or an online search engine. The AMK is still new, offers a lot of more fine details the Tamiya doesn't, has the dirty wings, and will continue to perplex most of the community as to it's worth regardless of who made it. IMHO the only thing that has sparked any value to me of it is just the wings, but I don't have one so I can't speak about it overall. When it comes down to it, just as with any subject I believe, you the individual modeller, has to form your own opinion on what you're looking for in a kit. Accuracy? Ease of build? Details? Cost? Put all that together and it should lead you to the answer.
  8. Why the removal of the MIDAS fairing for the cannon? Kinda interesting. I so wish we could get a USAF Test and Eval set of decals in 1/48 for aircraft such as this, especially from the likes of Caracal or Speed Hunter. Thanks Sven!
  9. I was gonna ask if it's "Marines," but guess it was already answered. Looks great. I may have to give up my old Monogram kits in the stash to pick this up as I believe Hasegawa is reissuing the TA-4.
  10. Really like the variations in colors. Well done!
  11. Superb! I don't believe I've ever seen this specific aircraft modelled before. Beautiful job!
  12. If you find one I'll buy it off you when you're done with it!
  13. I believe Phase Hanger Resin (Two Bob's) has a set as well.
  14. My LHS has a set of the decals. Kinda be haggling them to push it behind the counter or wherever for me hehehe.
