  1. It's actually a quite famous airframe with 2 kills.
  2. That is awesome!! I'm assuming we don't have these options in 1/48?
  3. You would have to look up the unit's history and awards for that. Could be several things but you cant tell from this picture as it is in camo. Generally you can always determine what the award is by the color pattern.

    Rafale Ride

Those were awesome. I think I saw the first one over a year ago. It cemented my love affair for the Rafalé permanently.
  5. Looks like a unit citation award with an oak leaf.
  6. So this is the result of two separate C-5R kits spliced together? I wouldn't know the difference if not because it looks great regardless. Nice job!
  7. Don't believe I've seen an A-7K in SEA colors before, let alone armed with a Maverick. Awesome pics Sven!
  8. Kinda looks like she just went through a rain shower at Takhli.
  9. Checkmate to you sir! Great looking Crusader.
  10. I like the pale type of colors chosen. Very cool.
  11. Everything is too damn complex to be a scout helicopter. Keep it simple stupid. Doesn't need to have all the bells and whistles that make it look like it stepped out of a video game or a science fiction novel. The real art of surviving the battle space will be with the abilities and skills of the crews. Happened in Vietnam and Iraq. It'll happen again, even with near-peer engagements. Look at the Air Cav units during the Cold War that trained tirelessly to defend the Fulda Gap. I may not have been a pilot, but being a scout I know what works and what doesn't when your in the business of finding the enemy. This is all just more opportunities for companies to push their proposals through with in order to get the government to write checks and fund the military industry. Keep the exorbitant costs to a minimum, use what we know already works, and utilize technology that only enhances the critical skills of crewman, not making them overly reliable upon them.

That's awesome. I remember 20 years ago David Aungst was the absolute best at building Hasegawa F-14s. I still enjoy going back over all of his articles on Hyperscale from time to time. His aggressor Tomcat really stands out in my mind.
  14. I read recently that the HAF has only one squadron operational currently and will be retiring the AUP in the next 3-4 years. Am I wrong in this?
  15. I just fell out of my seat. Simply amazing and such a beauty.
  16. I'm not a 1/72nd modeler but this is outstanding Tony. Very well done and great job.
  17. Very nice. Who makes the aftermarket seats and exhaust you used?
  18. Is it a twin or single engine? Can definitely see the -21 in it like Tony mentioned.
  19. Some more light reading on this and it's been a subject of discussion before within the world political and intelligence stages. However the aircraft definitely has more roots in the F-16 than the Eurofighter and I believe making the opposite argument is pointless. https://www.wrmea.org/007-april/has-israels-u.s.-funded-lavi-jet-been-reborn-as-chinas-j-10-warplane.html https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/chinas-j-10-vigorous-dragon-did-israel-help-build-deadly-fighter-80136
  20. I thought the EF-2000 derived from the Agile Combat Aircraft program which was a development from the lessons learned with the P-110 Jaguar Replacement.
  21. Could probably use the pilots from Tamiya's F-14A kit if your looking for seated ones.
