  1. Like it, especially the figures.
  2. It looks so much better on the black sand.
  3. You are obviously an artistic person.
  4. Now that's a tank that's seen a lot of action, nice one.
  5. Thanks for the comments, I'll see if I can get some better pictures up.
  6. With work of that standard you are certainly not a common modeller. Just wish I had your artistic ability.
  7. Hi Mike Just seen this in the Airfix magazine, I assume it's your article as well. Are you a professional journalist or model maker, please share your expertise with us as I would love to achieve this sort of finish.
  8. That's a faultless finish, any chance of detailed info on how you did it.
  9. No filters, simply down to bad photography! Trouble is I use my I pad camera with varying bad results which is rather frustrating.
  10. Hi all Wanted a break from my work in progress full interior Tiger, so here's my weathered Panzer 4. I've damaged and scratched the armour, and my first attempt at using air blasts from my airbrush to spray mud effects. Underneath the muck is my first go at ambush camouflage.
  11. Hi Thanks for your comments, So although I agree that you need to always look for ways to improve, I really can't see a single thing that you could improve on this! Likewise my photos are handicapped by using an I pad.
  12. Sorry ended up duplicating photos again. Forgot to mention, despite the level of detail in the interior they strangely omitted the drive shaft for the commanders manual turret transverse, so I've added one.
  13. Hi I've been using a combination of the suggestions of the instructions and Internet images to colour the interior. Had to decide on how far to go with the weathering, I recently did an Achillies with its white interior, which obviously would become dirty very quickly. However I wasn't that happy with the result. So on this i started with a couple of washes then tried not to get carried away with the chipping of the paint. The turret roof seems to clip on and off quite nicely so l intend to leave it so that the interior can be seen. So here's the results so far. http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/pp192/apackham/Mobile%20Uploads/FFC31692-45FB-4BBB-95C0-E630886E4C8 The detail in the kit is very good but I have to say I'm very disappointed with the number of circular mold marks that are evident on many parts, many of which are visable when assembled.
  14. like the others have said, when the first image appeared I thought it was the real reference photo you had worked from.
  15. We have 2 things in common, I'm still learning so I'm not happy with my results and I'm not happy with my photos either. However one big difference, the work your turning out is superb, getting a good result with good weathering is one thing, but getting a really life like result is much harder and you have achieved that.
  16. Hi Thanks for taking the time to have another look, and I can certainly see what you mean, it's almost like 2 different models if you look at the top and bottom separately, which I hadn't noticed. That's why I posted on here, as I'm still learning and enjoying my return to model making especialy the weathering side. So constructive comments from more experienced modellers are very welcome, and I will watch for this issue in future builds.
  17. Hi Thank you all for your positive comments. I posted it on here because to me it wasn't quite right, can't put my finger on why. However your response has encouraged me, so I look forward to having another go.
  18. its a bit frustrating not to be able to get sharp close ups with my I pad so you can see the detail properly, sorry about that. ( think I need to work in 1/16 scale!)
  19. Hi Started the turret interior, have to say I'm really enjoying the build. It's nicely detailed (and fidlley) and also interesting to learn the layout of the real thing. Next step will be undercoat, so a quick dry fit to see how it will look. There's lots of items to be fitted to the turret interior sides, I was going to paint it and them first then attach them after, rather than paint them once fitted. Any thoughts which is the best way? Cheers for now.
  20. Hi Francis Yes it holds all the links in the correct position, which as you say are made in 4 link sections. You also have to glue each vertical tooth on, with 2 per link. Hate to think how many I will have dropped and lost by the time I'm finished.
