Tiger I, Panzer IV, Churchill VII, PAK-40
Firefly replied to ShaunJ25's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Hi reference cleaning your airbrush, I had an ultrasonic cleaner for X mas despite my scepticism that they really work. have to say I think it's brilliant, hasn't shifted really old paint ( months old) but cleaning soon after use really works, would definitely recommend. -

Hi Well you doing a great job already, and the dioramas really add to the overall look. Far better modellers on here than me can offer you advise, but as I only came back to modelling again a year ago I've been learning as I go along. so what I've found is, preshading works really well especially on single colours like the Churchill, lots of weathering products on the market which really are try them out and see which you like, but I would really recommend using artist oils. Best thing is to look on you tube, Mig jamenez he's a true expert. -
Hi thanks again for your comments. It was nice to do something a bit different, and for no particular reason I've started building the Tamiya m26 recovery truck. Probably the last recovery vehicles I will make, everything else in my stash has tracks and a gun.

Hi no it's an Italeri that I picked up off e bay. Went together quite well except the tracks. Cable detail was quite poor on winch which is why I replaced that, shame that I don't have the skill to make a diorama as tamiya do a maintenance crew set that would be perfect with this.

Thank you I really appreciate that.

Hi thanks for you comments and likes.

Hi hope you like my Bergepanther, I replaced the winch with real wire and used various weathering products. Filters, oils, tamiya Earth, oil spills etc. cheers for now

Hi all A simple but enjoyable build, wanted to reproduce the muddy effects of this photo, not sure if it's to much but then can you make a tank to dirty? Don't have the skill or eyesight to get the figures faces as good as I would like. -BA2E681D4D6B_zpsscgic6g7.jpg.html][/url]

Hi all Been asked to build some old Tamiya kits by a friend, he chose the camo pattern.. Didnt get quite as carried away with the weathering as I usually do.

Academy 1/35 Panzer 4 Ausf H & M4 Stuart Light Tank

Excellent work, especialy the Stuart . It's not easy with just 1 overall colour to get it to look right, but you have done a great job. -
Look forward to seeing it. By the way, the commander is not an albino, the black back ground has made the camera over expose slightly.......
