I'd donate both testicles for one of these, except for the fact the missus really will moan about my high pitch whining!

If you mean THIS, then that's hardly representative. That includes TWO kits plus extras, like this: ncluded Items: 2 Skyraider Kits 1 Bonus Figure "Battleship Departure Set" (1 seated pilot figure and 1 plane director figure) 1 Bonus Figure "Bomb Loading Set" (3 ordnance crew and a decal) 1 Bonus Figure "MD3 Set" (1MD3, 1 back pack, 1 driver figure, 1 tow bar) This kit alone costs not an insubstantial $141.........certainly NOT the $300 you mention. A little 'misleading' methinks.... Not much more than the RRP of the Tamiya Spit you have in your sig, I notice.

Hi all, Shigeta-san has sent me these wonderful new photos of the forthcoming Skyraider. Gotta say...I DEFINITELY want one, or two! I've uploaded them HERE

Do you ever see a world outside BM? I didn't post that on a whim.

Soldering - The Black Art....Help needed..!
AnonymousAA74 replied to seawings's topic in Other Tools
Good guide! Soldering was my life when I used to be an electronics engineer. You could also do far worse than use FRYS FLUXITE I've used it for 25 years and if you want to solder photo etch or wire, it can't be beat. -

Hi all, With these new WNW builds going on, I thought I'd add to the pile with THIS review uploaded tonight. Perhaps 2011 will be my 'WW1' year! Jim

Review now done HERE NOW, I can start to build it

Bought another for a friend tonight, but our store still has about 5 or so left. If you are relatively local, that store is ALDI Horwich, Lancs.

Pure class. Absolutely STUNNING!!

Hi all, If you are in the UK (can't vouch for Europe), Aldi are selling ultrasonic cleaning baths for just under £20! HERE is the link. Be warned though, the baths capacity is 550ml and not 750 as shown. I bought one tonight and cleaned both airbrushes and some jewelry. The bath is still deep enough for modellers needs and is programmable from 90 seconds up to 480 seconds. This is a time limited offer. If you are after one, then get them while you can. My Aldi has about 6 left. Jim

Cheers Rowan, I love the Roland D.VIa. It's one of the neatest WW1 bipes IMHO, but the Fok D.VII was superior in speed and maneuverability wasn't it? I'm not sure about the 'b' variant of the Roland. I'm not to hot on WW1 subjects and I'll stand corrected. You are right about that Merc sprue too. I checked my Albatros D.5 kit and found the same sprue. When I talked about labour intensive production, I compared this with the Albatros fighters and their dual ply wrapped fuselage, and not the Fokker D.VII, unless I made it read that way Thanks for reading the review, and I'm glad you liked it. It's always a pleasure writing about products like these. I can get a little carried away!

Hi guys, I meant to get this online a day or two ago, but figured that it would be good as the first article I write for 2011. Here is the link to the ROLAND D.VIa REVIEW We have all the new WNW releases here now, with the exception of the W.29 and DH9a which will be with us soon. I'll sent the Re.8, Gotha and Pfalz kits to the relevant reviewers who will no doubt start writing as soon as they receive them. They are all fantastic, but the Gotha is a beauty!!

Go to RB Productions. They have saws that fit into knife blades, and I swear by them.

Bloody fantastic! I want your babies!

Ay'up, I felt it was about time that I actually posted something up that I'm building. I felt I wanted to do a build that was for 'me', if you know what I mean, and I decided to resurrect the Kinetic Sabre I started several months ago. After screwing up the forward fuselage halves by trying to fit the gun troughs which didn't seem the right size, I ordered a replacement set of fuse halves from Kinetic (excellent service by the way!) For the interior, I'm using the AMS Resin pit, and some other neat resin goodies. As I can't seem to build a kit without any Eduard sets, then I'll be adding the 'Exterior Set' for this. The problem is that it's obvious the excellent AMS Resin pit wasn't designed to have the gun bays installed at the same time, so I've had to Dremel out the resin cockpit consoles to within an inch of their life, and thinned the injection plastic gun bay interiors to paper thickness in some areas. The Eduard set also calls for vast amounts of plastic to be cut from the gun bay interiors, so I reckon I've removed around 50% of the plastic on these parts alone. On the kit, the gun bay top sides formed the cockpit consoles, so I knew this wasn't going to be easy. For the gun bays themselves, the Eduard Exterior set will add plenty of detail, including the ammo chutes, but I'm also adding 3 sets of the 'Master Model' Browning 0.50's in there too. Some hose fittings and plumbing will complete this area. I also intend to do something with the lacklustre engine, such as a little plumbing, plus finishing the rear pipe in very thin tin foil to simulate the material used in this area. The AMS resin pit is one of the nicest I've used, but not being used to ,er, 'modern' jet aircraft such as the Sabre, being a WW2 modeller, I think I painted the interior grey a little dark. Still, it was the colour that the conversion chart said to use. I'm crap at painting seats with cast belts, so apologies for my 'attempt' here. The instruments are added with Mike Grant Decals 'Jet Aircraft cockpit gauges and switches'. A drop of Micro Crystal Clear is added for the instrument glass. Wheel bays are courtesy of Eduard, and I'll add some plumbing in there too. Cockpit grey is Tamiya XF54, and other painting is done with Vallejo and White Ensign enamel.

Surely people don't do that, do they?

..except for the first 5 which were taken by me!

That looks like the pressure switch. When mine packed in on my Iwata, I got some temporary relief by tapping it with a small hammer to un-jam it. I had to replace it eventually for around £20.
