  1. Hi Tony, I'm building the non-clipped wing for the Mk.14e if that helps any. I'll be glad of whatever info you can get. Many thanks for your help. Jim
  2. You've made a darn fine job of that Red. I like it a lot. That last pic is my favourite. Jim
  3. Brilliant..MANY thanks!!! I feel I've gone as far as i can at the moment so this will help enormously Cheers, Jim
  4. I wondered if any of you fine folks could help me out here. I'm building an Academy 1/48 Spit Mk.XIVe and I'm trying to find some pictures of the weapons/cannon bay of this mark, and also the fuel filler, fore of the cockpit. This has been mentioned for a different Spitfire mark today, but I don't know if the XIV had a recessed filler or not. The Academy kit has a real simplistic weapons bay which looks crap, and it would be good to dress is up with a little plastic card. Cheers, Jim
  5. Cheers for that. Is there a UK supplier too? Jim
  6. Where did you get it? I've been asked what I want for my birthday, and I want to do my 110 like this one
  7. I'm sure the Revell one in 1/32 was a new tooling only a few years ago. Are you talking about 1/32 or smaller? Jim
  8. Very nice link. Cheers! Always wondered what Don Johnson got up to after Miami Vice too Jim
  9. No idea about the Ju87, but yes, the interior of the Ju88 A-1 was RLM66. Loads of reference stuff posted over at LSP. Jim
  10. That 1/48 Hasegawa Spitfire MK IX is gorgeous! I'd be really chuffed if I'd made that Lovely work Jim
  11. That's a bummer! The instruments are easily fixed, but the canopy looks awful! Got mine from emodels too Jim
  12. Is that just relating to the Mossie Ted, or the Ju 88 too? Jim
  13. Looked through my parts and all look fine and dandy from what I can see; certainly nothing to cause any concern. I'll check the instrument panel properly later, but all looks good so far. Damn, I wish I'd bought 2 now! Better get an order in before they go up in price Jim
  14. I managed to get to the Parcel Farce depot this morning and pick up my Ju88. I've been looking forward to this kit for ages now, and I have to say that I am seriously impressed with it. The moulding quality is superb and the detail is beautifully crisp. The instructions are typically Revell, and of the 90+ building sequences, about 30 of them are for that sexy cockpit alone. I can't wait to build this one, but I'll wait a while to see what AM stuff comes out for it. Most people will have seen the sprue shots already, so here's a little bit of what's in the box. I bought it for £26.99 from emodels, and that that price, it's bloody wonderful!
  15. I'm still in awe. That instrument panel is gorgeous. I think I need that book too. I wish you'd posted some in progress shots of the paint job up. Jim
  16. Got the 88 today, although sent to depot as I wasn't in If anyone wants box/contents pics, I'll post them tomorrow. Jim
  17. I think there's a real one of these in Manchester Science Museum Nice work, Jim
  18. I've seen this done with nothing but Alclad. Alclad produce the transparent colours such as blue and yellow etc which would give that heated look. Jim
  19. Anybody in here pre-ordered this model? I ordered mine a couple of days ago (NOT from the Scottish shop ) and the date seems to have now moved forward from the 29th Nov to this Monday 24th Nov!!!
  20. Thanks for pointing those out. I'll give them a try. Cheers, Jim
  21. I got the Lion Roar scribing set and it's sweet. Was using a needle to scribe, but now have a Squadron scribe tool.
  22. Bloody marvellous! Great work so far, and the turtledeck looks fantastic.
  23. Quite like the look of this one. Are there no assembly shots yet? Jim
