  1. I opened another Bandai Snowspeeder today before adding it to my stash and in 1/48 it was bigger than i remembered and i was blown away by just how cool the kit looked and then it hit me just how bad this Dragon one is. The Snowspeeder design is just awesome, it has to be done right, i really hope Dragon get it right before production. Having said that if the price of Dragons awfull 1/44 Falcon is anything to go by this Snowspeeder, good or not, will probably cost the moon!
  2. Id love to see Jabbas Sail Barge, Skiff & Sarlacc Pit (minus later CGI beak).
  3. Thanks for the feedback guys, the thicker styrene was hard to cut straight as the blade would drift when cutting, i found a quick crack/cut worked best and oddly it was hard to file flat too, i wasted quite a bit. Fingers crossed when the primer goes on it wont show up too many surprises. X-wing is on its way! Hopefully the motor will work, im allready thinking of modifying the T-65's wings to use as wing ends. Its that superlight but strong/ridgid plastic i could really use sheets of. Aluminium is light but still heavy, Evergreen sheet is too flimsy and heavy. If i can bodge the T-65 wing ends under the Ducati engine intakes the wings would stay light. That would wreck the T-65 kit though lol. I could possibly use the greeblies behind R2 behind my cockpit, maybe even the exhausts/internal fans if modified, some of the cockpit on my dash/behind the seat. I can make an old crashed wreck out of the rest on Endor with plants growing out of it and put new broken wings next to it covered in moss with a 1/48 AT-ST walking past it, sounds like a plan! Just need the motor to fit or ... I apologize to Bandai in advance.. but some things just need to be tried
  4. Yeah thats HUGE! looking forward to seeing more!
  5. I havent seen him since before the hair went on and hes looking great! I too though he was massive, like at least 3- 4ft tall haha! Hope the bake goes well for you!
  6. This is awesome, it does have a french feel about it, reminds me of one of those 3 wheeled bubble cars, i love them too!
  7. Got more done on the base, sorry for crappy pics. Seeing as this has gone way over budget allready i thought... why not go completely mad and try and incorporate the moving wing motor, torpedo LEDs and sounds from a Bandai 1/48 T-65 Xwing, Hopefully they have enough torque for my bigger wings, im thinking if the wings weigh the same and the motor see saws, it shouldnt need much? This would free up my old headlight gun LED's (Klingon BOP launcher) to act as a blue/white flash for the center Falcon style slit exhaust.. for when it goes HYPERSPEED My biggest hurdle will be fitting the motor into my fuselage as it tapers top/bottom at the back, i will def have to hack it up one way or another, should be a fun challenge All feedback is always welcome, thanks for looking!
  8. I dont think the Eagle Transporter looked that much like the original Pirate Ship, still im so happy they changed it into the Blockade Runner and made the Falcon as well. Id expect Bandai to first make their own brand new tooled, more accurate, highly detailed version of the 1/1700 Star Destroyer they showed. At 94cm long It would be a good way to test the large scale market for demand before making other big ships like the Blockade runner, Medical Frigate, Finalizer SD, etc. Im hoping for a 1/72 Falcon (with updated non symetrical TFA mandible details) & a 1/48 AT-AT too. A Sandcrawler would be welcome.
  9. Cool models and your bases are great too! I prefer the grey TIE's, i dont care whats in the film, mine are going to be grey too!
  10. On this pic it seems the gap is closed, but on the far left side under the drum there seems to be a gap, next to where the pistol holster joins. http://thefwoosh.com/2014/10/bandai-112-scale-models-darth-vader-and-stormtrooper-big-pics-and-preorder-info/bandai-star-wars-6-inch-plastic-model-stormtrooper-final-large-1 Having bits left over would have me swapping everything over until something looked right, good luck.
  11. So cool, looking forward to seeing you do more on this!
  12. While i was waiting for glue to dry on the base ( i now realise why people drill pilot holes! And then i nearly forgot to add the power supply socket ) i did some more on the characters helmet: Thanks for looking, more on the base soon!
  13. Thats really cool to see them like that and the full res pic is def worth seeing! I think you should put the Snowspeeder and all the ships you can in there too!
  14. What cool figures! Watching these builds for sure! keep at it youll get them finished eventually and it will be so worth it
  15. Wow shes looks awesome! Congrats on a great build/paint, there lots of different subtle shades everywhere which really helps bring her to life even the hair looks good and thats a hard thing to do!
  16. I had to go look up what Tamiya curved tape was, i was thinking ..doesnt tamiya tape come on a curved drum anyway haha! Curvy tape looks interesting though, id have thought it would have worked too. Congrats on finishing her, shes looking great from behind, ill pop over and see the finished figure.
  17. Shame about the Tamiya tape, what masking tape do you usually use? Still it looks ok, i think her helmet looks good a bit bashed about and the decals really add to it as does the pink stripe! The flight suit looks cool with the added wash and the eyes look good. good luck finishing it for the weekend!
  18. Cool, congrats on a really battered Y-wing, which means the pilot must be good or hed have been blown to bits a long time ago! Whats the dreaded frosting? youve got me worried now haha!
  19. A Bandai quality A-wings cool, esp with a turret, seperate or on the base im in! My wish list for Bandai is pretty much everything. Id most like to see these though: 1/48: TFA Falcon, T-70 X-wing, Y-wing, B-wing, A-wing & all Tie fighters from the films. At least 2ft long: TFA Finalizer & O.T Star Destroyers & Medical Frigate (EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate) 1/12: F.O. Flametrooper, Snowtrooper, Tie Pilot. The Knights of Ren (when we know what they look like), Rey & Reys speeder, Fin, Luke & Lukes speeder, Han Solo, Leia in white and also thermal detonator outfit, Chewie, Yoda, Supreme Leader Snoke, Bountyhunters/ Creatures/ Odd characters. Tydirium Imperial Shuttle, Kylo Rens Shuttle. I will build Bandai Star Wars until im 1000 the force will help me live that long
  20. Thanks for the suggestion. I was looking for more of a regular Tie panel look with parallel lines on them, the interceptors are a lil plain. I was looking at some regular Tie panels today and without the "frames" round them they look a lil week and with the frames they stickup/out too much and dont look aero enough. They look good on a Tiefighter but on the wing tips of this they look too complicated and fussy, esp since i plan on having some mechanical detail on the leading/trailing edges of the wings too, the filling in the sandwich look. I think as it is, these grooves add detail while keeping it looking streamlined. A 1/48 Stealth Fighters going to get the chop next, i almost feel guilty, but then when i see how it looks on this model i dont lol Thanks for looking!
  21. Yeah thats looking nicely beat up!
