  1. Hes a badass, i bet he can shoot straight.
  2. Awesome and i really like the gun mods too!
  3. After seeing Revell & Dragons Falcon efforts so far I will happily wait for a 1/72 Bandai Falcon. Star Wars has never been so popular, were even getting spin off films. Now is the time for Bandai to "Punch it Chewie" and upscale their awesome 1/144 Falcon to 1/72 and also release a huge 1/1700 Star Destroyer, 1/48 AT-AT, Sail Barge & skiff, Blockade runner & Medical Frigate. Im also excited at the idea that Bandai might release a 1/72 B-wing! And a 1/72 Atmospheric Assault Lander (AAL), First Order Transporter, would be so cool too!
  4. Great first post, im loving your X-wing & pilot mods, cool build. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this
  5. Looking good he's coming along nicely. Ive never sculpted a figure before but now his shoulders are taking shape you can get a better sense of where you want his arms to grow from, same goes for his hips & legs, im looking forward to seeing more
  6. Kylo Ren 1/12 : http://bandai-hobby.net/sw/jp/products/kyloren.html Clone Trooper 1/12 release date June 2016. A-Wing 1/72 release date May 2016 Release Schedule: http://bandai-hobby.net/sw/jp/schedule/ Thank you Bandai your awesome!
  7. The back could all be in CGI and lift up/slide back to allow the canopy to open, similar to a car. Im guessing this is an old A-wing, a "hunk of junk" found in an ancient base and hotwired for an escape. It might be a new A-wing, would make sense to evolve it but i would have thought it would look more different if they had.
  8. This looks great, cool idea too. Ive seen plenty of awesome white Ralph McQuarrie Stormtrooper and Boba Fett concepts, theyd make great models. This is the one your doing right? http://www.sideshowtoy.com/blog/meet-boba-fett/ Theres this one too with a swappable helmet for two other versions: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/blog/boba-fett-joins-sideshow-star-wars-ralph-mcquarrie-concept-artist-series I look forward to watching more piant dry!
  9. Cool The chest burster looks so happy! reminds me of Jack Nicholson "im home" haha!
  10. Your right and i was also looking at those ribbed wings afterwards thinking, theyre ok.. but it could look so much better and the lipbalm tubes for the engines.. there gone too, i have a much cooler unique idea. I felt like i was taking the easy path, ( to the Dark Side lol ) design wise something was missing. About a week ago i looked at the idea of making more angled wings from the left over fuselage of the stealth fighter, i assumed the kits wings were so tiny as to be of no use, so had left them in the end opened box.. and oh boy was i wrong! I got them out and they are perfect haha! They need some chopping up and modifying but they really suit the Lambo fuselage and have a simplicity that reminds me of a Star Destroyer hull and the Ducatti intakes just fit on. It might take a while but i will post some pics when ive got something real worth looking at. Oh and on the colour scheme, my character has the unstable crossblade sabre in blue, but thats when hes in a good mood or training, when he gets angry, attacked or ripped off it goes red and he kills everything in a Dark Force bloodbath killing spree, so really if he ever had to get it out, it would be red. Ive got red on the helmet allready and i think aged blood red graphics on the ship would look better too. Im thinking of having the ship in bare metals like aluminium, steel & titanium mixes with varying shades and heat / battle damage. Red fangs on the bonnet, red Japanese symbols for Ronin & War on the lower wing tops and invent a new red callsign for ontop the intakes. Lots to keep me busy, Thanks for the feedback, happy moddeling!
  11. Oh yes this is awesome! Loving the mods! I think red/black looks better, but red/white would show up more dirt and wear more and on a ship being worked on you could add oil spills and such to greater effect on the white. Can i ask what you use to cut the back of the pannels out with? It looks like youve used a razor saw for opening it up, but what did you use on the underside? A dremmel with a tiny head maybe? Looking forward to seeing how this build progresses
  12. Hi and welcome! Yes very cool models and those F.O. Stormtrooper weapons are awesome! I always wondered, do the wings on the T-70 close properly once painted?
  13. Looking great, a long but fun project and a great learning experience, even for us watching.
  14. The pointy/spearhead like paint over the canopy is a great idea. I like the 2nd and 3rd designs best.
  15. It is a 3D model of a model made from models... and i want a model of it haha! https://youtu.be/Wji-BZ0oCwg?t=42s If i can get a model to look that good esp the fibre optics id be SO happy! These are supposed to be new Star Destroyers too so i wouldnt expect to see much, if any, weathering and there is strong crisp real space lighting on it. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Devastatortantiveiv.jpg Those look more like models to me and whats going on with the lighting? Im guessing they are flying past an asteriod belt.
  16. I wonder if there will be a ROGUE TWO this could be the start of a great line of Films!
  17. Dear Bandai, please make the best Star Wars model in the whole Galaxy.. 1/1700 Star Destroyer
  18. Fantastic! I really enjoy watching your builds and seeing the finished results! Tooo much X-wing!? No way, never ever, i have 6 of these lil beauties in my stash and i will never get bored of seeing/learning from them being built and seeing how other modelers modify them, so cool. The black and dark red will be interesting, usually colours id associate with Darth Mauls Face or the dark side, so might give this one a more sinister look. May the force be with you!
  19. Just came from the WIP and omg he turned out so cool, the weatherings spot on. I like the dirty helmet where hed take it off with dirty hands, Marvin looks great tucked in there under the fern, the dappled light brings him to life. Toad stools look cool in yellow, lichen. moss, planting is superb, congrats on a really cool lifelike build.
  20. Long story short i think it was worth trying this out in photoshop (not expensive real life) but ive come to a dead end with this idea, this is as good as it can get. It looks ok but it doesnt look FAST, more of a shuttle look.Thinking about it TIE's cant hyperspeed anyway lol so im going to make a start on the ribbed wingtip idea as that looks fast forward and more nasty/custom looking! Happy modeling
  21. Im sure ill watch this at least twice in 3D, i saw TFA 4 times haha! Cant get enough of new Star Wars. This one has AT-AT's, old Stormtroopers (takes four to fight a guy with a stick lol), new Black Stormtroopers, Royal Guards, Jyn whos shaping up like LaraCroft x Artemisia (Eva Green), she even appears to have a Terminator droid haha! Star Destroyers and X-wings, whats not to like about that. I think TFA is the best one yet, finally we get some good believable CGI and seeing the Falcon flown/abused like that was great. The new T-70 X-wings look so much better and (even ignoring falling in love with Daisy Ridley / Rey) I really liked the casting too. Sure its another big ball to blow up at the end, but at least this was an awesome planet gun that spat the sun out, unlike the second Death Star which was lazy. I love the original films but if i go back and watch them again.. omg.. ROTJ's plot is awful at the end and Luke is such a drama queen.. Darth fights like a plank of wood and.. lets spend 3 films saving the Galaxy then surrender to tiny rat faced Ewoks!? id shoot them along with Jar Jar Binks! It will be interesting to see how good these new Rogue One / TFA succesor / Han Solo Films are now that Disney can probably relax a bit knowing they havent flushed $4 Billion and instead made the best selling film ever. Although they ony had to beat Jurrassic Park which was imo awfull haha! More films = more fun models to build, happy days!
  22. Cool idea and build, the lighting really adds to the reality/atmosphere, looking forward to seeing more!
