  1. Revell... or... How about a potato with cocktail umbrellas stuck in it, that has no lower gun pod or pilot either. Take them out for a Death Star, Lolipop sticks make an X-wing, Have your model and eat it. U-wing is a Gundam Snowspeeder
  2. Pre-orders are always higher priced, imo unless it a limited edition kit, just wait. I can remember when Bandai's Slave 1 was £44, i got it for £19 all in. Others: £32 Falcon £27 Speederbike and scout £19 C-3PO £14 Darth's X1 TIE £17 - £18 for spaceships & regular figures £19 - £21 for Darth, upto £25 for Phasma I can remember when Tie Special forces was £27 Pre order, now it can be had for under £18, regular TFA TIE just over £16. Check the prices once or twice a week, It pays to wait. And the news today, the pounds reboundng higher
  3. To me they look the same with different graphix, i cant see the back of the Rogue One ship yet thou. It does come with a different stand/base, as the death star has yet to be built i guess. I welcome any Bandai kits even if they are the same with new graphix, Im ok ive got an airbrush and can customise things. But for those that dont/cant who simply want to build kits with a bit of weathering brushed on and also small children, these new look Rogue One X-wings are awesome! I look at it like this, the more Bandai sell, the more likely we are to get more and bigger kits developed. I dont see this new X-wing as a replacement for another kit they could have built instead. If it is the same X-wing with new graphix/base then it wouldnt have taken much time to make it, so i see it more of a way of generating extra income/profit, while providing a "new" genuine Star Wars model, which ultimately benifits everyone. They will have a business plan that makes as much cash as fast as possible, so they can re-invest. Thats probably why we see the Death Trooper first, many people will buy more than one ( i will get 3 ) which means more sales, enabling all new model molds to be cut sooner. Hopefully then we will see some really HUGE kits like the 1/1700 Star Destroyer, Blockade Runner, 1/72 Falcon etc. Ive done all i can contacting Bandai over the net, maybe they got my mail, maybe not. Im sure as long as they are selling these kits they will make more. Star Wars will always be popular.
  4. I finally wrote in a form on Bandai's Site, but i have no idea if it sent it, afterwards it said the customer support only read Japanese and reply to Japanese customers. I dont think they can officially reply to us, or our wishes as they dont have a World license. I like to think they Google their own models though and im sure they would have seen Andy's fine models. Yes great news on the Rogue One Kits! The Death trooper looks SO badass! I bet they can shoot straight too! Looking at the X-wings together its amazing just how much bigger the 1/72 is.
  5. Death Trooper!!! Bandai Rogue One line! http://bandai-hobby.net/sw/jp/products/deathtrooperspecialist.html Theres an X- wing 1/72 & 1/44 set too: http://bandai-hobby.net/sw/jp/products/dragonfly.html Google translate only lets me go this far on their Hobby center contact site: https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?act=url&depth=1&hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://support.bandai.co.jp/app/about_inquiry/session/L3RpbWUvMTQ3MTgzMjA5My9zaWQvVnBsOHhHWW0%253D&usg=ALkJrhj4Vc9UUwLSVb0O3EryCEYq3N6-KQ
  6. Yes i think Rey only had her face mask pulled up when in the wrecked Star Destroyer. On her Speeder she had the goggles on and face exposed. But id rather have a fully masked Rey than nothing. Ideally wed have a 1/12 figure that did all 3 looks and her speeder. Yes Leia as Boushh would be cool, i always liked that thermal detonator character it had balls, i was kinda dissapointed when it took off its helmet haha! If you want some spare heads Bandai's Figurarts Luke has a Helmet-less Vader head & a spare Luke head: http://thefwoosh.com/2015/08/bandai-s-h-figuarts-star-wars-luke-skywalker-review Seeing as Bandai have allready picked up on the idea of a C-3PO head on the Droids Body. I would like to see them do Han & Luke with a spare head in each kit, so we can use them on stormtrooper bodies Bandai are probably allready working on characters from Rogue One & Episode 8. I did try this afternoon but couldnt find an address, in the end i got to a UK distributor form but they dont stock Star Wars so i couldnt select it from a menu lol. I wonder if their factory has an address, a snail mail letter might do it.
  7. Yes if they cant do faces, then Rey with her face covered up still looks great. Interestingly the Vader model kit never had a face, just the back of his head. Kylos a masked head and also a new character too, so id be amazed if they didnt make a masked Rey, shes supposed to be the main character. So far apart from the droids, all the characters have been the bad guys, which is cool they are awesome model kits, but that cant be coincidence? Im hoping they are holding back for a good reason. We might know more on Force Friday on Sept 30th, but that will mainly be for Rogue One i guess.
  8. Hi Andy, I hope shes 1/6 or i just got robbed haha! I just got her as a one off showpiece figure. Im still after a 1/12 Rey. Thanks for the heads up on the Hasbro Black series 1/12 she looks pretty good. If Bandai dont release a Rey Model Kit, i will pick one up.
  9. All i remember from the trailer is a hottie with a bat? Plus some guy doing a really lame impersonation of the the Joker which put me right off watching it. Then will smith was the nail in the coffin. Hes not as bad a dolph lungren yet but he just comes across as fake. I didnt realise that guy was actualy supposed to be the Joker bwahahaaaa! I will watch it on telly in a few years
  10. I had a quick look about for the main cast with faces in Star Wars Figuarts and they are expensive and not all available. So for similar money, i got Hot Toys Rey figure instead, I didnt get her with BB-8 as i allready have 3 Bandai model kit ones. And with the change i can get the model kit figures with faces too. If Bandai dont make model kits with faces now im screwed, my collections going to have a big hole in it haha! Darth vaders going to be fighting himself..
  11. Im pretty sure they could print the inside of the mold before they put the plastic in, thereby setting the ink into the plastic face. Isnt that what they do with the Figuarts figures? If anyone can do it Bandai can. I do like those Bandai Figuarts figures. Ive never seen one for real, but on those pics i get the urge to repaint the hair, with less shading. Maybe in real life they are ok. I prefered the Model kit Captain Phasma to the Figuarts though. A Star Wars model range without the main characters would be a bit odd though.
  12. A 1/800,000 Death Star would be 15cm, that would be cool, can you imagine Bandai's detail on a half built Death Star. Obviously i dont expect Bandai to make all my wish list in the next year, some of those kits are huge, im happy to wait for quality! Bandai have allready made over 30 fantastic kits to date and if they keep going at this pace ill be super happy! Having a Star Wars collection mainly made up of Bandai's superbly engineered model kits is a dream come true and i am so excited to see what Bandai make for us in the future. And theres more films on the way! If Bandai are not going to make characters with faces id like to know now. So i can get some action figures before there all sold and the prices go up.
  13. Oops i nearly forgot: Lambda-class T-4a shuttle Kylo's shuttle
  14. Id like to see some 1/12 figures with faces please: Rey's scavenger outfit with swappable head mask / face Young Han Solo Young Luke Chewie Yoda Darth Maul Leia in white trousers Ships: Star Destroyer 1/1700 Tie Bomber 1/72 B-Wing 1/72 Falcon 1/72 Nebulon-B escort frigate (Medical Ship) Blockade Runner Tantive IV Death Star Vehices: AT-AT 1/48 - to go with 1/48 Snowspeeders & 1/48 AT-ST's Reys Speeder 1/12 Lukes Speeder 1/12 Jabbas Sail Barge + Small Skiff & Sarlacc pitt ( without the cgi beak please ) Jawa Crawler Darth Mauls Speeder 1/12 Others 1/12 : Rebels from Endor Tusken Raider First Order Tie Pilot X-wing Pilot Jawa's General Grievous Droideka Jyn Erso Keep up the great work Bandai, it is much appreciated thank you!
  15. In 3D I cant wait!! Im going "all the way" with "yes sir" Jyn too, then next year im going with Rey again cuz shes my fav, has a lightsaber and likes playing with balls, she can straighten my antenna anytime Bandai please make a 94cm 1/1700 Star Destroyer! Its never going to be more popular than now!
  16. *Spoiler alert* The new U-Wing is a lot bigger than i first thought, i was thinking snowspeeder size as it does have similarities, but its bigger and has folding wings! https://youtu.be/p8ExkYS_Uog?t=1m22s
  17. The AT's do look similar, but the head on the AT-ACT is different & has less guns. Also, see pictures on links below, from front on the AT-ACT's whole rear looks taller than the AT-AT, i assume its wider inside with those extra pannels on the sides too. Heights are AT-AT 22.5m & AT-ACT is "over 20m". http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/All_Terrain_Armored_Cargo_Transport http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/All_Terrain_Armored_Transport Id guess the AT-ACT's body is (minus its sidepods) a similar width to the AT-AT. But its slightly taller, longer and also has longer legs so the proportions look similar from the side. it will be interesting to see what stats they make up for it. Although Rogue One is a prequel between episodes 3&4 these AT-ACT's are, along with the Death Star and type of Star Destroyers, firmly nearer the original trilogy so i would expect them to look from that time. The older AT's might still be in service somewhere else. From Wikia AT-ACT : "It was deployed at major imperial construction projects" it would make sense that the Empire would have its most advanced equipment like the AT-ACT, near its most important project, the Death Star. Ep 7 had a new AT-AT design for its trilogy.. or will they drag it out for 6 films?
  18. Thats AMAZING Andy, what a cool model congrats! Ive never liked the rust colour scheme much on these, i always prefered the blue concept more, but i have to say you have converted me to liking both colour schemes now
  19. Oh yes Im definately watching this one! I promised myself i wouldnt watch anymore trailers .. Yes Jason, your right about a Rogue Two title, it wouldnt work haha!
  20. Flash gordon hahaaa! I prefer the phase 2 troopers too, i do like the phase 1's i get the Jango Fett look to them and i think the evolution of the troopers is ok. But my first thought was to put a red Roman mohawk on one and the nose area looks more like a sad face Arc Trooper would look great, i guess Bandai have to draw the line somewhere. For example i would love to see each TFA trooper come with heavy artillery vest, pauldron, a heavy gun and a detachable survival backpack as accessories in each trooper box. Maybe in the future they would offer an add on box of goodies for all stormtroopers ever made in one box. But then i would prefer it if they put their resources into more figures, or a Star Destroyer, we can always have fun trying to scratch build some accesories and who knows other companies might make some add ons. That Laser tower is amazing! I wonder if Bandai are planning to make kit figures with faces too, i hope so.
  21. Great work Andy congrats! It was fun to watch it take shape and see how you made it all.
  22. Clone troopers look awesome, ill have a few of each type, the customising/painting options are just too good to ignore. I hope Bandai make the Droideka too.
  23. Im sure they will make a 1/72 Falcon / 1/700 Star Destroyer and 1/48 AT-AT it will just take time, they are big projects, with lots of research, esp the multi.. maybe even triple version Falcon with lots of various characters. The star destoyer came with the mother of all placards Plus this one too Im patient, im also confident that if Bandai make these they will be the best ever. The 1/2 BB8 looks amazing, id love one of those.
  24. What a beauty! Congrats on a super cool build, was a pleasure to watch it come together, great pics too, cant have too many pics!
