I have decided on my next subject - something I have wanted to do for ages but thought it wouldn't fit in my display cabinet - I measured again and I think I can just squeeze it in - any ideas? ๐ Mosquito?

Looking good there, nice to see a picture of XV295,my favourite Herc,i was involed with the modification fitting the llltv camera below the front window and the the turret below the radome,a great job to be involved with.Concerning the undercarriage, there is a ball screw attached to the top of the oleo assembly which goes up through the roof into the area below the wing. There is an opening above each oleo to allow the leg to be retacted up through the roof of the bay. There is no beam across between the top of the oleos but all the way up just below the wing at the top of each ball screw is a gearbox that is indeed conneted to its neighboring oleo and the drive motor.I hope this helps. Amazing work,i would like to recommend a book called...... Return-to-flight: Space Shuttle Discovery Photo Scrapbook: Written by Dennis R. Jenkins, 2006 Edition, Publisher: Specialty Press It has some useful of pictures of both the shuttle and the 747 carrier, some good pictures of the tail fairing too. Just looked on Amazon and its there for a ridiculous price but you maybe able to find a copy elsewhere. (Little update, ebay has a copy for ยฃ21 at the moment) Neil -

A 1/72 Hunter Fga9 would be welcome with an FR10 for the club kit.It would sit very nicely next to the Meteor FR9 and Swift FR5.
