  1. From what I have heard on other boards the cause for the Raptor kit release delay is that Moebius is trying to renew the license agreement to produce BSG kits and the studio for some odd reason is dragging it's feet.
  2. That is great news! I really want this one over the cheaper Revell kit currently out- If Bandai ever releases their larger ISD I am sure it will be spectacular and probably priced out of my range.
  3. Word is that Hasbro complained to Disney about the figure kits- they offer the same product line of posable figures in the same scale already. IIRC Moebius had an issue getting the first Iron Man kit approved due to a similar product was already licensed, even though it was not a model kit.
  4. There are some Warhammer Tanks- http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Tanks MA.K. 1:35 Nutcracker Hovertank https://starshipmodeler.biz/shop/index.cfm/product/2054_165/135-pkh-103-nutcracker.html
  5. The kits are pretty cheap now if you do a search on eBay with Price+Shipping Low to High. I do think it will stabilize prices and stop some new release gouging. Moving into the non-Asian markets officially will boost Bandai sales and have then consider some new subjects which may sell better than just in Japan.
  6. Bluefin now has distribution rights outside the Asian market. http://jediinsider.com/index.php?catid=8&itemid=18054
  7. Where would be the Sci-Fi reviews section? - I am still fairly new to this site and cannot locate it...
  8. Nice build! The sidewalls, while still too tall, have a lot better detail than earlier incarnations of this kit. So I take it you can build it with two dishes and have the option of ANH or ESB landing gear sets?
  9. I am also curious to see a build up on the cheaper Revell 1:72 kit. The Revell Star Destroyer looked like garbage in their promotional materials, but once you see it built and weathered properly it looked a lot better than I expected. The higher priced 1:72 Falcon is the same kit FineMolds released years ago in a different box- easy to find some great buildups of that online.
  10. I like it but I think he over did it some, Those shallow raised hull plates top an d bottom had some lights but not almost outlined like that, Still, it is a nice job
  11. I like the parts breakdown- having the superstructure detail panels added on top on the structural pieces is great (although it will making lighting a bit more difficult with two layers to drill though). Also like the additional bracing inside the hull.
  12. I am hoping once they get all this movie tie-in stuff on the shelves in time for Christmas they will return to the original trilogy. But- OK, we have enough figures to make a barn dance diorama, now some vehicles that go zoom!
  13. If the First Order had kept some of these around the movie would have turned out differently...
  14. That is going to be a fun build up! BTW- it has been mentioned that the Lab Pod does not seem to fit the model properly- thing is that Lab Pod is accurate and the kit is not. It will go together but it will take a little adapting for it to mate up properly.
  15. Yawn. If they wanted to impress people and sell kits they should have included an extra sprue with some astronauts and a moon buggy.
  16. The lower bay cockpit windows would work fine if the pilots were in the same position as the interior sets show. On the other hand, Anderson did have some large windows in the sides of the lower nose section of Thunderbird 2 which ere dedicated to observation cameras. Space 1999 has a lot of questions when you really think about the hardware and how it really functions like lot of older shows. The important thing is to remember you are building it to have fun- just choose your interpretation and start enjoying it.
  17. Looks fantastic, especially for the scale! Hard to tell from the photos, but did Bandai manage to cast the hull piping with voids beneath?
  18. The re-released ATAT is not going to be made available here in the US market.
  19. IMO it is not. The new tool accurate Eagle would be considered one but the same kit upscaled? It also sounded like an upcoming release being planned, not a test-the-waters crowdfunding gimmick. A 1:48 Hawk could be considered a grail kit for a lot of people, but I think Jamie might have been talking about some subject which would be a bit more main stream...
  20. http://www.sixteen12.com/space_prop_rep.html Why didn't this stop Round 2 from issuing their 22" kit as well?
  21. Product Enterprises used to be a fantastic company- their 1/72 Eagle was good enough that Brian Johnson said it could have been used on the show as a filming miniature. Sadly, they chose to abandon the affordable market and focus on high end uber-replicas with stratospheric price tags. Side note: Their Thunderbird 3 replica is a direct lift off of the UNCL Resin kit with a launch silo added.
  22. Round 2 just cancelled this idea- turns out it would conflict with another company's license.
  23. Not sure if this will help, but some craft stores & hobby shops sold a simple airbrush which used a can of compressed air - I believe Testers made one. It was dirt cheap and sufficient for one modeling build.
