  1. Not too much left to do now. Handle bars, headlight, foot rests, wiring, exhaust, seat, etc !
  2. Just stumbled across this thread. Lovely work. I'd love the kit, but don't fancy the challenge of an old tooling. Hats off to you for taking it on.
  3. Give me a few days to check, I'm out of town for a little while.
  4. Thanks guys. Yes, it is Model Factory Hiro, 1/9 scale. Challenging, but a very enjoyable kit.
  5. Just a few in progress shots of my MFH Brough Superior
  6. Thanks very much John. I'd only diluted about 40% thinners X20A, so more thinners and lower pressure.
  7. Not sure of the actual pressure, but it was quite high to get a good flow of paint. 15 -20 perhaps ?
  8. I have a problem whereby when I spray mat Tamiya paints into a recessed area, like a wheel well or inside a cockpit, I get a rough finish. However, same paint sprayed onto a flat surface goes on fine. What at am I doing wrong ?
  9. Now we know why they call you Mad Steve
  10. Studi 27 have carbon decals, and I hear the Hobby Design detail set will be available in June. Acustion have detail sets, but very expensive.
  11. I don't know if you're still building this, but if you haven't done the exhausts yet, be careful. They don't fit !! The front pipe just needed bending into shape and a little fettling, but the rear pipe is out by a yard !!
  12. Thanks Willie. It was the RC30 I meant ! Doh !
  13. Can anybody suggest a Vallejo or other acrylic colour for Honda racing blue, on a Tamiya Honda VFR750 R30 Thanks Mark
  14. I've started working on my Huracan. I want to add some colour to the interior as the all lack scheme is boring and depressing. I've tried Tamiya paints, just a test area on the inside. Fine surface primer follows by yellow seemed to work ok. Sprayed in light coats of course. Now I need to see if the 'rubber' (or whatever it is) will take satin varnish to unify the finish. I guess the seats on the Aventador are the same material.
  15. Simply beautiful ! One of the most realistic renditions I've ever seen.
  16. The smaller hex would be a hex head on an external threaded pipe (Sorry, I don't know the proper name for it) the would hold the insulator in place. I.e. The spark plug would be an assembled component as they didn't have the manufacturing technology to make them in one piece as they do today. They would just be at a random relation to the larger hex. Your attention to detail on the plugs is impressive. I'm looking forward to your start on the engine block. How are you going to tackle that ?
  17. The Kwaka is stunning ! You've done a great job on a beautiful looking bike. Think I might have to get one myself ! good luck with etched parts on a 1/700 ship ! They are tiny !!!!!
  18. Looking stunning !! Amazing work for your second kit - you should be proud of yourself !!
  19. I think it was the screws that holding in the trailing arms that gave the trouble. I found on the DeAg MP4-23 and the Eaglemoss DB5 that a touch of vaseline on the thread helped the screws go in a lot easier.
  20. I see your Transkit is shipping, as is mine However, I'm really waiting for the Huracan transkit as I have that kit waiting to be built. My Aventador is stuck in storage at the moment...
  21. Did you have any trouble with fitting some of the parts in issues 12 & 14. One of the Youtube blogers mentioned that the holes in the chassis were not deep enough (or the screws too long, whichever way you want to look at it !)
  22. Nice one. I've got the orange coupe version and am waiting for Tommaso's transkit. It's going to be a good while before I start mine though. Looking forward to watching your ride.
