  1. An American-Indian walks into a saloon with a shotgun in one hand and a 10-litre bucket of manure in the other: The Indian says to the bartender, "Me want Lager!" The bartender says, "Sure, Chief, coming right up." He then serves the Indian a tall glass of Tennents Lager. The Indian drinks it down in one gulp, picks up the bucket, throws the manure into the air and blasts it with the shotgun. He then walks out. Five days later, the Indian returns: He has his shotgun in one hand and another bucket of manure in the other. He struts up to the bar and tells the bartender: β€œMe want beer!"The bartender says, "Whoa there Chief, we're still cleaning up from the last time you were here... What was that all about anyway?" he asked. The Indian explained, "Me training for job as politician. Drink beer, shoot the poo-poo, disappear for a few days come back and see if somebody else has cleaned up the mess me left behind....."
  2. But little moths can't help it, they are attracted by the light πŸ˜‡.
  3. It's looking perfect. Thanks for the tip about the decals. I'm having fun with the Renard for the NMCZ GB so I delayed the Crusader build. First watching the pros at work can't hurt.
  4. Looking good. Just one detail, if I may. The IR sensor was removed well before the blue scheme was used. Already scoring two nice Crusader builds in this GB Tim @theplasticsurgeon! Well done.
  5. It's looking very nice Tim @theplasticsurgeon. Happy to see all the decals behaved well, these are nice markings.
  6. Let's hope the porridge cannon won't malfunction Have a great time with your build.
  7. Already taking shape. It's a fast start. Good to see you had no problem with the main assembly. I'm crossing fingers and hope it will go as well with the struts and upper wing. Don't rush it, please, make my pleasure last .
  8. II find it to be a master's exemplar of the master copy. Without you telling us it was "cobbled" together, I'd have asked which producer did this kit. Extremely well done.
  9. My thanks to Heather @Heather Kay and Peter @PeterB for they valuable input.
  10. Good morning James @81-er, I indeed have also been thinking - given strong similarities in the type of plastic and instructions - that they have a link. Special Hobby mentions Azur on their site as an "own production" brand. Frrom (pun intended) all that I do more than suspect that they - at the least - take care of the moulding process. Sorry, but I don't know more. Kind regards. Pat.
  11. Granting us a skyrocketting build? Blazing fun to you!
  12. Hi James @81-er. With Adrian showing us a baby in a chicken coop I just thought "man, another build by one WHO's definitely no chicken!" I hope you'll enjoy it. Pat.
  13. 1/700, resin kit, PE... Trying to exceed Adrian's expectations or is it a secret contest as you're both going for the same heap of tiny (PE) parts? I wish you @Enzo the Magnificent and Adrian @AdrianMFto both reach port safely, with your vessels in better shape than his.
  14. You should modify the rules and add "heart peacemaker wearers WON'T be allowed if they didn't have the battery checked beforehand". What with all these tiny parts, planning to give the carpet monster an indigestion? Wishing you good luck. Pat.
  15. Biplane, vacform, scratchbuilding ...... I can't miss such a show of bravery. Best of luck to you Ray @Ray S
  16. Well, the Comet is my second preferred British tank after the Matilda. Even if I didn't build armour since 40 years ago, I've some in the stash. Your build could rekindle the fire. Watching with interest and wishing you fun.
  17. Thanks for the pep talk Adrian @AdrianMF. What's more efficient, one at a time or to build in parallel, that's the question. Which Ta152? Would you please give me a link to your build? I do like the FW that's not named FW. Greetings. Pat.
  18. Hello fellow BMers, My entry is Azur Frrom 1/72 Renard R-31. It's the only airplane designed and built in Belgium to have seen combat during WWII. It's a two seater recon airplane of which 34 were delivered in 1934-1935. It was already obsolete when entering service (underpowered: 500hp, slow: 300 kph max, unarmored). Twenty-one were still serving in two frontline squadrons (named Blue/Red Sioux) during the German invasion of Belgium on 10 May 1940. Eighteen days later 9 were left and were destroyed by their crews. Yes, it's a plane, again. But this time I'll take the plunge as it's my first short run kit. Also some tiny photoetch parts are included in the box. Enough to make me feel I'm not "in my comfort zone". Here is the usual cursory overview of the box art and contents. You get 39 plastic parts (2 not used), a small PE fret, decals for 3 aircraft - all for Belgian Air Force planes, the only user, an instruction booklet with color profiles referencing Gunze/Mr. Hobby paints. ". The parts are nicely cast. No traces of flash. The sprue gates for the small parts are really much thinner than what I expected Clear. Fasten your seatbelts. I've begun to test fit the parts. First "new feeling": the plastic is much softer than what I'm used to so the sanding stick and cutter bite somewhat too easily in for my liking. We'll see where it goes. Don't forget to have fun with your "uncomfortable" builds! Good night. Pat.
  19. Good choice! I hope you'll have fun with it.. and build it fully loaded. Like most of us, I built quite a lot of Matchbox kits as a young teenager but never that one I have to say. Seat taken.
  20. At each reedition of that kit, I feel an impulse to get it, but I never dare. What a good choice! A plane definitely linked in my memory to the character who has been my most liked (loved ) comic's heroine for half a century. Message for eternity
  21. Nearly nothing done on the F-8 for the Crusaders and Corsairs STGB. I never had concurring builds so I first need to organize ..... to - at least - not mix the kits' parts. Else, if anyone is interested in a Crusader with a twin bladed prop, yes we can πŸ˜‚ My apologies for the delay.
  22. An Aussie and a Maori walk into a bakery. ...The Aussie steals three pastries and slips them into his pocket. He turns to the Maori and says, "Pretty slick aye, bro? The owner didn't even see me." Unimpressed, the Maori replies, "Typical dishonest Aussie, bro. I'm gonna show you the honest way and still get the same result." The Maori calls out to the owner of the shop and says, "Bro, I want to show you a magic trick." Intrigued, the owner comes over. The Maori asks him for a pastry, which the owner gives him, and the Maori eats it. He asks for another and eats that, too. He asks for a third and eats it as well. The owner says, "C'mon, mate. Where's the magic trick?" The Maori points to the Aussie and says, "Check his pockets."
