  1. Thanks for that, I will make a wish list ready for payday. I had seen a guy who built it who was in a Hellenic group, had figures, and used resin to fill the swimming pools. Something I also wish to try
  2. Haha maybe it is! I found it on Google, then just had to comment. It's awesome! I have the 1/700 version too, after all, she's my favourite ocean liner after the QE2
  3. Oooh nice! Do you know who supplies them? I'm looking for some 1/400 figures too; may have to make do with the Eduard airport ones
  4. Hi All, My friend gave me his model kit, after it had been sitting atop his kitchen units for nearly a decade. I have so far stripped as much paint as I could, and given it a deep clean to remove all dirt and grease. Next steps will be filling in some cracks in the plastic, then priming her
  5. Lovely work, my friend bought this about 10 years ago, but only got round to starting it, before it went on to live atop a kitchen cupboard. He gave it to me to finish what he started, and it looks like an absolute beauty of a kit.
  6. Thanks Bob, it is a very good kit to build Thank you for your kind words Joachim. Well spotted...How didn't I notice that?! I've never done that before
  7. Hi All, I present to you my latest build, and due to a severe lack of mojo, my 4th of the year so far. I used Xtradecals, Vallejo PRU Blue, and Vallejo Light Grey wash for the finish, with the invasion stripes painted in Tamiya XF-1 and XF-2
  8. Thank you, I will try to pick some up on my way to work. It seems like that is the problem, because I found some traces when having a closer look
  9. Hello I'm stripping down my airbrush for a full clean, but this time I can't get the nozzle cap removed from the head cap. I don't want to try and rive it off with force, in fear of breaking something. Can anyone assist?
  10. Thank You, it has pride of place on my the top shelf of my display cabinet. I'd really like the HAR3 too, but to keep it as RAF. Maybe even convert one to RN airframe
  11. I have this kit too. So I'll be eagerly watching your progress
  12. Excellent work! I'm interested in one of these, what are they like to build?
  13. Ohhh you rebel! I have a corgi die cast one, I may buy 2 now that you've mentioned that. Thanks Rambo, it's my pleasure. She's had a superb reception on whichever forum/thread/social media page I have put her on. I guess that's only a good thing, shame that all I see is the blood sweat and tears of trying to get that cammo as accurate as I could
  14. Thank you very much for your kind words. I used XF-62 for the green, and XF-2 for the white. It took me about 3 coats in some places for the white to soak up the green to the shade I wanted. I used nato black for the wheels, and medium & dark sea grey on the rotors. I'm looking forward to seeing your model finished, based on your others. Mark Thanks Tiger, me too.
  15. Thank you, and let me tell you, it is the most complex camo I have ever completed
  16. Thank You, I'd like that too, but my LMS can't get hold of it. It may have to be an online buy. Thanks Tony, I'm not in a hurry to replicate it though
  17. I can see why, one of my friends did too. Youre right about the sand filter, I think you can get resin ones, but a) i'm not confident wth resin, and this was supposed to be a weekend build to get my mojo back, it ended up taking over a week and a half. Thank you very much, if there's anything I did learn, its that masking, when done properly makes a model. As does tinted windows
