  1. Sorry, I missed the 1:24 scale requirement. I don't know how long ago it has been since Airfix released the 1:24 Stuka, it's not on our computer so it's at lease eight years, which means it is extremely unlikely that anyone will ever do decals for it for any air force at least until it is re-released. There is also the problem with 1:24 that any markings are so large that they won't fit onto a standard size sheet so you would not get any choice of subjects. I have just looked at a 1:48 Luftwaffe sheet and the national insignia would just about fill the sheet in 1:24. It looks like a do-it-yourself job! David Hannant
  2. LF Models do Italian Stukas in all scales. Just search Hannant's web site for LF Decals, keyword Stuka and scale you want and illustrations will come up for them all. David Hannant
  3. Hi Phoenix, You have said 'Slightly O/T, was told that they were offered the chance to buy the Meteor Mk.8 mould and declined, that's why the kit was issued by Airfix shortly after the Xtrakit, as well as being issued by MPM as both the Mk.8 and the FR9' I am curious where that rumour comes from because there is not the slightest truth in it. Our buying the Meteor Mk8 mould has never been mentioned. And we have not done another run of any Xtrakit as a conscious marketing decision to let the range die as they sell out. Which also means there is unlikely to ever be any additions to the range. David Hannant
  4. Our current British Pacific sheet includes two sheets, one with the roundels and bars and the other with white letters and numbers. It would be simple enough to reprint the letters and numbers in another colour but as soon as they are outlined the price shoots up because the artwork has to be redone and an extra colour pushes up the printing cost, as does having to worry about registering them. I would think that the letters sheets would be best packed individually with out the roundels which could also be done separately. I would be interested to have your opinion. David Hannant
  5. Seahawk, if that is a serious offer I might well be interested in taking you up on it. I am always willing to do generic sheets as they can be useful for a lot of people but I need convincing that they have a wide use and would be needed by rather more than 12-15 people. Add 200 to that number and the price of printing becomes more reasonable. We can get smaller runs done but in some cases these can cost more than our printer's normal minimum run. 6. Xtradecal X48044 is being reprinted. Due in about six weeks. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X48044 David Hannant
  7. A little way back Justin said "Great stuff Cookie - I've wanted to do a decent XII for ages, but since the disappearance of the Xtrakit version, I've been at a bit of a loss as to how. So I'll be following your builds with interest." What makes you think the Xtrakit has disappeared? We still have a good stock and for a short time they are going for half price. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/XK72014 David Hannant
  8. Thank you Bear, this is what you will find. Currently 15 decal sheets listed for the F-4J Phantom https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php?product_category_id=&product_division_id=&manufacturer_id=&code=&product_type_id=all_decals&scale_id=953&keyword_search=f-4j+phantom&setPerPage=25&currency_id= David Hannant
  9. Not sure which squadron has done it but a GR 4 has just been painted to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Op Granby with a list of all the operations Tornados have taken part in on the rudder. It's in desert pink with a shark mouth but no name at the moment. Looks like the first for the Xtradecal 2016 Update decal. David Hannant
  10. It vill go on the Xtradecal list! Strangely, A-Model don't seem to have told us they are doing it. David Hannant
  11. Currently Hannants are listing 131 different Fruil reference numbers. I think that's all the range and most are in stock. https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php?product_category_id=&product_division_id=&manufacturer_id=8024&code=&product_type_id=&scale_id=&keyword_search=&setPerPage=25&currency_id= David Hannant
  12. For those asking about the decals, that aircraft is on https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X72174 I'm not saying they were used, just that they could have been. David Hannant
  13. Steve, thank you for the enlarged copy, I think you are right, it is Elyane. But it is easy to see why people have been reading the last letter as an A from the smaller picture. Perfect timing, this is the sort of evidence we are always looking for and it usually appears the day after the decal is printed! David Hannant
  14. To answer some questions that have been asked about Xtradecal X48158 Biggles has pointed out an error but A77-116 was a typo and the decal is correct with A77-316 Hornet has said - also should note that A77-15 was named 'Elyane' not 'Elyana' as has been incorrectly reported many times. There are several copies on the web of the same photo of the name on this aircraft but they are all too small to be certain. But every other reference I can find all give Elyana. Can you provide any proof that it was in fact Elyane, I want to get it correct rather than cause controversy. Fortunately the decal has not gone to print so correcting anything is easy. David Hannant
  15. The first new Xtradecal for the Meteor F.8 is now on our web site. Pictures due soon. And more sheets will follow. You are right, there are an awful lot of schemes/squadrons that could be done. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X48158. And don't forget this one has been available for some years and there are still a few left https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X48043. It was used on the Airfix model at Nuremberg, the kit does not include 74 Sqn, it will have 85 and 111 Sqns. David Hannant
  16. Thanks Iain, I've been hiding for a long time and this just seemed a good moment to make a few comments. David Hannant
  17. The 111H-6 decals are listed in the 2016 Year Book which was available at Telford but they have added a Romanian one so the final decision could have been taken recently. The Sea King HAR.3 is also in the Year Book with just one option listed, XZ596 HRH Prince William RAF Valley 2011. As usual we will be backing up most of the new Airfix kits with one or two Xtradecals, the 1:48 Defiant is already on sale. If any one has a particular favourite they would like to see done please let me know and I will see what can be fitted in. If you have photos of both sides that would be a big help and almost guarantee it being included. The one exception may be the B-17 for which there are so many decals already, we currently list 31 sheets including 18 from Kits World. David Hannant
  18. To make sure I am not missing an opportunity I have checked the sales of both the Trumpeter and Revell 1:32 scale kits and I am afraid that the answer at the moment for any more 1:32 Xtradecals for the Eurofighter is zero. In fact I don't think I would have ordered the new one for 29 Squadron, X32060, last week if I had checked then! David Hannant
  19. Graham, do you mean Anniversary or basic line markings. Because we did the 6 Sqd Anniversary desert markings on X32056. Unfortunately the sales of 1:32 Typhoon decals don't tie up with the minimum we can have printed unless we change printer and I don't want to do that. And either way it would make them cost a lot more. And at the end of the day there is only the Trumpeter kit to put them on, unless Revell bring their's back. David Hannant
  20. Paul has contacted me direct about this and I think the main problem is that he is saying that we have dated it 6th June 1944 where as we have just said June 1944. Paul himself says that 222 moved to Coolham on June 30 and that could easily have been the date the photo was taken so June 1944 would be correct. As I have explained to Paul, I can't go back to the original research because it was done by David Howley who did a lot of Xtradecals and as some of you may know sadly died just before the last Telford. But any of you who have had anything to do with research for decals will know, that little bit needed to complete the picture always comes to light the day after the decal is printed! David Hannant
  21. Beautiful model, I like to see our Xtradecals put to good use, but can I mention one small point. The canards on a parked Typhoon in all the photos I have seen tilt forwards, traling edge high. This is engraved on my heart because photos taken on the ground never show the undersurface which is why we missed the eagle heads underneath and had to print them as a correction. They became apparent from photos taken from the ground of the Typhoon in flight. And a final mention, we have added RAL3003 Ruby Red to our Xtracrylix paint range specially for this Typhoon. David Hannant
  22. Xtradecal X32060 has only just gone to print so I would expect it early March. To complete the set the 1:144 scale version, X44007 2015 Update is on it's way and should be available next week. David Hannant
  23. Following a change of heart and many requests the 1:32 scale 2015 29 Squadron Typhoons will both be available on Xtradecal X32060. The 1:72 and 1:48 versions have been available for some time. David Hannant
