  1. Looking real good, Danny. Well thought through and nicely executed. Do you use single leds in the center console or do you guide the light through some sort of fiber or plastic channels?
  2. With all the lights, it will be cool. do you think, you need a led for each light in the console or will some be sharing a single led as light source?
  3. Wayne, great stuff. the breadboard is cool too. Why not pick up a smaller version that doesn't need all that space? Much easier to work with.
  4. Thanks for sharing the links. Gives some ideas when I start my own build. I whish Pocher sold the engine in a separate kit too as detailing it is fun, but you would like to be able to make it visible. Your engine top looks great!
  5. looking real good. Good info for those who will be building this kit
  6. Looking really fantastic. Very nice colour scheme. Would like to see some more details too.
  7. Regarding the painting of the seats, I suggest you look at paint suitable for leather and vinyl. That paint is flexible and will not crack and should dry perfectly (did not test it myself though). Somewhere I read of some one who painted it and after drying, found it remained sticky. He used talcum powder and rubbed that in the paint. After that it did not stick anymore.
  8. Interesting kit. Lots of work to do to get this together. I will be following how you progress with it. Looking really good so far.
  9. Nice colour scheme for the seats. And also thanks for the link to the configurator. Will use it to select colours for my roadster.
  10. Don't commit harakiri. It's too messy and, more important, we would not get to see the end of your build ;-). It really looks great. Sorry to hear about the decal. Maybe you can print it or get someone else to print it for you on decal paper?
  11. This coming together very nicely now, Wayne. It shows that you are going downhill now (but watch out for that last turn at the bottom of the hill). The radiator grill really looks fantastic as does your engine.
  12. You bet I will be watching for progress on this one, but I can understand that you now want to finish the MB first.
  13. Yes, pocher kits do tend to help you practice you disassembly skills.
  14. Oh my, the dash, seats and carpet. They look fantastic in combination with the doors. Got to take your shoes off before you enter, but it is a real wonderful combination. Well done!
  15. Taking notes. Will be a big help when I start my build. Thanks for the explanation and clear pics, Codger.
  16. Hi Ian, Been away for a few days, but when I came back, the shock were her. Looking real good. Thanks very much for your efforts to create and share it.
  17. Roy, did I get it right that you stated that your skills with big stuff are NOT that great. Come on... you cannot kid us. Will be following this one closely. Will be a feast, I'm sure.
  18. One of these days, Codger is going to tell us that it is the real thing and that because of this his build is a multi year project. It is indeed way too realistic. It simply cannot be a model...
  19. I'm impressed with the OOB quality of this kit. It looks great, so job well done. Will you have an estimation of the number of hours you have put into it, when you are finished? Btw, I have not seen many complaints about the logic (or lack thereof) in the manual and I also haven't seen many complaints regarding fitting of components. It must be a totally different team that have been working on design, creation and documentation of this kit.
  20. I think back then you needed to sign a non disclosure agreement. There's no other way how they would have been able to keep it a secret ;-)
  21. Luckily you have a whole week to recouperate. Wonderful how Pocher managed to make sure that you do everything, take it apart and redo, and then most of the time, followed by at least one other iteration. That's how you arrive at so many building hours from just one kit. Anyway, it is looking good. Looking forward to a follow-up.
  22. Ahh ok, thanks for explaining. Worked out well on your model.
  23. Ok, not enough bang for the buck, but you wanted something simple ;-) In its simpleness, it does look fantastic, I must say.
  24. Wow, Danny. Fantastic detail. I agree that the hoses have a very real life shine. Don't know what you mean with: "I further moved the brackets onward to the throttles as they are almost aligned IRL"
  25. Ah, about the jig. Duties will make it next to impossible, which is a pity.
