  2. Does anyone have any experience or tips for using detail bolts and rivets? I'm looking I things like this: https://www.hiroboy.com/07mm_Hex_Rivets_c_Metal_x10--product--13669.html I'm assuming you cut-off the cone shaped piece at the end? Do you use any specific tool, just some old side cutters? How much of the bolt do you cut-off? Do you leave just enough to go through where you want to place it? Do you use CA glue to hold these in? or try for a friction fit? Thanks.
  3. Very nice and great photo's too. The Tamiya clear, you thinned that before spraying I assume? Did you use the tamiya lacquer thinner? And roughly what ratio? thanks!
  4. I have noticed that F1 kits seem to be getting hard to find. The Tamiya website only lists some vintage cars now, not even the recent-ish SF70H (compared to 1/24 cars that still lists all sorts that isn't being produced): https://www.tamiya.com/english/products/list/20car/kit20001.htm Fujimi F1 kits also seem to be harder to find, a few years ago there was decent selection of 90's-00's Ferrari's usually available from the usual far east places but that seems to be going out of stock. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this or noticed it? I have a decent collection of F1 kits in the stash, but I'm wondering if something has changed? Maybe the licensing has has changed? Or are F1 cars just not popular enough?
  5. I have had several orders from euro site gravity-colors.com without problem, happy with the paint too.
  6. I like the look of the finished SF70H, looking forward to getting that. The Caterham does looks nice but way too expensive for me. Another Video from Andy on the SF70H:
  7. i’ll be getting the sf70h, pitty no engine, but nice to see the carbon decals included. Wait to see the price on the Caterham.
  8. Tamiya 1/24 Peugeot 307 WRC With Tobacco decals and crazy modeller photo etch. Used Gravity colours Ferrari red as I had enough left over from a F1 car and it was a nice bright red. White stripes were painted rather than using the decals that come with the kit. This kit has the die cast metal base, that adds nice weight to the model. Overall quite happy with how it came out. With one of the first kits I made a few years ago: upload foto share link
  9. Email I received today, haven't looked into if it is legit:
  10. All finished now, quite happy with how it looks for a first F1 car. Seat belts brush painted: Brakes done: All finished:
  11. Coming together now. Mainly the seat left to paint. I'll be doing this without the driver, and just painting the supplied seat, rather than any extra parts.
  12. First F1 car I have tried. Airbrushed the body, and brush painting most of the smaller parts. I have done most of the body and just starting on the rest. I used tyre stencil on the tyres. Turned out to be a lot harder that I thought, but ended up with a kind of used tyre look I painted two belts silver for some reason, will be going over in flat black.
  13. I recently picked up on eBay: Tamiya Bennetton B192 F1 1:20 Tamiya Lotus 107b F1 1:20 Tamiya Renault 5 Turbo (road version) 1:24
