  1. Latest completed this year, Eduards 1/72 Fw190 F8 Wurger. Built OOB for a change, no extras. Quite a nice little kit, a bit over engineered in places, presumably for the extras that Eduard also make, but still builds up well with no filler required. I used the rockets as I'd never seen a Wurger with that set up and regretted it as soon as it come to fitting the little blighter's, I also found the kit decals difficult to handle, a couple of small one just shrivelled up and even the larger one tried to wrinkle. All paints are Tamiya acrylics. Other wise an enjoyable build and looking forward to the P39 Airacobra I have in the stash next year. As usaul all comment are welcome. 2. Impressive results so far looking forward to the end result
  3. May give printing my own decals a go, as it would only be the unit emblems on the doors, a suitably attired lady and tail serial numbers.
  4. Sorry wrong kit, I was looking at az hurricanes at the same time. The kit I meant is thru RS Airacobra P39q rsmi92136, its listed by Hannants. Options 4 for the colour scheme. I've found the unit insignia and a few picture of aircobra with that on the doors but not much else.
  5. Thanks for looking anyway. May have to get the AZ kit and scale the decals up.
  6. That would be much appreciated.
  7. Lightnings superchargers, and props painted and fitted, exhaust staining done and prop decals applied. My free hand airbrushing is coming along nicely I think, also done some little chipping. IMGA0078 by neil Connor, on Flickr IMGA0079 by neil Connor, on Flickr
  8. Hi Looking for decals for the 4th reconnaissance sqn 1943 pacific theatre for an airacobra in 1/48 scale, does anyone know if they are available? Thanks
  9. Always preferred the razorback over the bubble top, looking forward to the final product
  10. Pleased to report the lightning is now on its wheels, just undercarriage doors, guns, bombs, props, super chargers and last bits of glass to go! The Wurger has had its prop, fuel tank and rocket rails fitted and exhaust/rocket staining sprayed. Hopeful both will be finished by December. 11. Impressive finish, how did you find Eduard's decals? Been having nightmares with my Wurger's stencils
  12. Finished decaling the Wurger and flat coated as well, also flat coated the wheels and spinner. First part of lightnings undercarriage fitted. IMGA0069 by neil Connor, on Flickr IMGA0070 by neil Connor, on Flickr IMGA0071 by neil Connor, on Flickr IMGA0068 by neil Connor, on Flickr
  13. So unusual to see an intruder in green, a brave choice to model
  14. Started the decal on the Fw10, disappointed with the Eduard decal though. They are extremely thin and several just folded when trying to position, but it starting to look nice with the main deals in place. 15. Its the chin radiator, glad I went for the Airfix Typhoon for my build
