  1. Very nice! Are you aiming to build the whole collection of this product line?
  2. A quick and rewarding built is this model of the Fw TL (Turbo-Luftstrahl)-fighter project. I think this is one of those Revell kits which were developed and produced by a Korean contractor (does anyone know details about that?). It has a combination of recessed and raise panel lines. Some of them are a bit fine, so I'd recommend to rescribe them before painting so you can get clearly defined pin wash results (if you so wish). I didn't do that so the wash doesn't show off all the detail that well. Paints are vallejo model air and some Revell and Humbrol enamels for details. The canopy is not that great, so maybe a pilot would have been nice too. It is a rather small plane. Sopwith Triplane for scale.
  3. Thanks for the flowers! I look forward to see your nightfighter. I still remember the 1980's boxtop of the old Revell Hurricane which showed the all black finish. That should look quite smart!
  4. Finished my Revell Luchs today. The kit has some known issues, but unlike the ne (Takom?) one it makes for a quick build. Since I like the old gelboliv look of the Bundeswehr vehicles I decided to build the one stationed in Hessisch Lichtenau (or "Heli" as it was called in the Bundeswehr).
  5. Lovely! I remember getting this kit as a Christmas present from my parents back in the day! It's actually a nicely done kit with recessed panel lines. Finished it with paint brush. Grey and semigloss black was enough. I remember being happy with the result
  6. Thanks, just try one. At the price one can't go wrong. Plus the decals by HobbyBoss seem to get better and better. Those are applied to a flat coat with only Mr. Surfacer. No silvering so far. They are a bot like older Airfix decals just better print.
  7. Thanks, I find them pretty good. They have more or less all the detail that other kits have and are a much quicker build. So, if you are not one of the people who especially love filling seams, sanding and filing and are a bit more into painting (like me) these are an option. An if one wanted one could even add detail to the rudimentary cockpits.
  8. Just finished another Easy Assembly Kit by HobbyBoss. This time the Hurricane. Decided on the India 1944 option, that was provided with the kit. Fast and straightforward as usual with nice detail. Only issue was the canopy, which left a gap - guess I have to close that with white glue or something. The model is relatively heavy (due to the wing and fuselage being mainly solid cast pieces. I'm sure this won't be my last Easy Assembly Kit!
  9. Finally I have finished something to show on here. For many decades this was the only model available of a T-10. Although it was not really available. Some of these kits went for a lot of money to collectors. Recetly I had the chance of getting one online for a relatively low. price. I decided to build it since I never had one of these Tamiya motorized tanks. And what can I say. The kids were pretty impressed as it went easily across the living room rug, pillows and even marbles. It even has an "infrared" light! Is this a good representation of the T-10? - No. It is a very early Tamiya model with very basic detail an more a toy. If it were ten years ago or so one could get a Tamiya JS 3 and try to make a decent model of it by using some parts of that (like the drive sprocket etc.). Buts since there are models like Meng's T-10, this would be kinda odd to do. Anyways, here it is:
  10. Great job Roman. Like it a lot. This is a kit that is also on my to-do-list. Still remember when a schoolmate had the Revell rebox of this kit and I was very impressed with the huge bomb that came with it. Have you by any chance checked out the recent reifra reboxes of the Plasticart kits?
  11. Thanks for the flowers! I enjoyed the built a lot. One might even want to sand off the rivets and rescribe it.
  12. Ok, that makes sense. In such a case it's better to follow suit.
  13. A classic kit expertly painted. I guess it's even 1/32 scale, isn't it? Although, if I might suggest, I'd snap off that kit antenna and replace it with thin wire or strechted sprue. What do you think?
  14. Very nice finish on this classic kit. I especially like your attention to the fuel lines and how you painted the vision blocks.
  15. Wonderful thread, exactly up my alley! Let me direct attention to the wonderful skybase that Frog included with some of the kits. I still remember a LHS around 1990 that had a garishly decorated shop window featuring - above all - a huge remote controlled Stuka, on the floor the Revell ATB Stealth bomber and on one wall a built Frog Do 335 attached with the Skybase. I could stand there for minutes and marvel at that stuff.
  16. Finally another finished model. Revell's Ki-61 repop that got blasted online (how could they!) for being so old. Got it for cheap at the LHS and since I've never built a Japanese plane (while holding this nation in high regard) I decided to give it a go. As usual: old kit from the 1960's plus a new and very nice decal sheet (not all were used as some were really tiny). Was kind of tough to get them to settle on the riveted surfaces. Fit is actually quite good for the age. I got inspired by some of the brush painted builts on here to try my hand at some brushing. So basecolor and bigger surfaces are airbrush (aluminium, black, red) while the camo and the yellow are brush painted.
  17. Great to have you hear! My other half is from New York! Is it cold?
  18. Two nice additions for you collection. Especially impressive that you went with brushed enamels and got such a smooth result. As I alwys like to point out wiith Gepards: Bundeswehr Gepards didn't have side skirts. But that's probably too late now.
  19. Very nice. I especially like the colour of the tow cable. That turned out very realistic.
  20. Pretty cool. Makes me want to think the tank commander is a militaria collector who found a M 24 hand grenade case at a local fleamarket.
  21. Great result you got there, I like it a lot! One to be proud of!
  22. Perhaps someone can help me. I have really no luck using the search option on the site. E. g. if I want to search the forums for certain topics as "Fw 200" to show me all the topics that have been made on the type. The search option never seems to be producing any results, no matter how I type the stuff in? How do search properly for things on this site? My workaround is to google it by adding Britmodeller to my query, but that is a bit sad, isn't it? Cheers
