Nothing wrong with that English. Now make planes and upload pictures!

Truly amazing

Those have never really appealed to me. Although the An-225 passenger plane would be easy to do with a whole lot of window decals, and no, I'm not doing it.

Producing some fantastic work as well as being busy!

You have obviously seen me attempting to build something vaguely airplane shaped. Your spitfire looks great. Having fun is what it's all about so don't worry about mistakes.

And I thought that my dozen was too many to have on the go at one time! Kudos on the juggling.

This might be the same for Kolesov RD36-51A nozzles I bought but won't be using unless I perform some surgery surgery to them to make the parts fit together, before I fit them to the model. And they are not as detailed as the kit parts. A while ago I found myself underwhelmed by the poor quality of the #2 engine intake insert for the EE L1011 TriStar. It is way oversized and the excuse given for it not fitting at all is that it is dimensionally correct and that the EE kit intake is undersized. So why not do a complete tail correction piece? Why produce something that cannot be used? But I digress. One point I found in my research is that the Kuznetsov NK-321 engines are longer than the RD36-51A engines so some stretching of the nacelles was necessary to make them fit. If you look at 77114 now with the Kolesov engines installed the exhaust nozzles sit further forward of the trailing edge of the wings compared to 77112 which left the factory as a Tu-144D with Kolesov engines. Is it possible that you removed too much from the nacelles? That said, if the Bra.Z NK-321 exhaust nozzles are from the old kit and not designed for the ICM kit you would never get them to fit properly. Not having any instructions on how to modify the kit so that the parts fit doesn't help either. -

Very impressive, especially the rigging and wire spoke wheels. All the more so in 72 scale. -

Hmm...... While there might be something in the tooling costs I can't see there being that big a difference between Zvezda and EE creating a master and moulds for an airliner. Essentially both companies will have to go through the same process to produce a model. I think the desired profit margin of EE may be based on a more short term model than that of Zvezda.

My 12yo daughter Destiny decided that she wanted "to see what all the fuss was about" (her words) when it came to building models so I got her a kit of her own. I don't think that she did too badly for an afternoons work on her first model kit. I did mention paint and decals but that met with a "meh" so I am not going to worry about it. Annoyingly I have models almost as old as her that I have still not finished. Maybe I could learn something from her.

Two questions. Has anyone had any experience using the avia decals AVD144-07? And are the Bra.Z RD-36-51 exhaust nozzles more/less accurate than the kit parts?
