  1. Despite not liking making AFVs, the result is great, I don't know how good it would look if you liked making them...lol. It looks very real, and the photos will do the model justice. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  2. Hi Ian, Very good job with a model that has many flat parts and few details, the weathering makes it interesting to look at. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  3. Hi Angelo, Excellent Panther, that ambush camo looks great, and with that crew on top it is a nice set Good Job! Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  4. Hi John, Many thanks for your like and kind words, i'm glad you like it, much appreciated mate, knowing also that German armor is not your favorite.😁. As they say, "better late than never"...no problem, lol. Well, if it has happened to you that you are always willing to have a few kind words with everything published, it is easy to understand how little feedback the model is receiving...πŸ˜•. Cheers FrancisπŸ‘
  5. Hi Safetypin, Many thanks for your kind comments, i'm glad you like it. Well yes, Tamiya stickers are highly recommended, after all they are Tamiya, a brand that does not usually disappoint. Even more so, taking into account in my case that the kit was from the MENG brand, and it was not exact for him, but for a Tamiya kit, even so, I was able to apply them without major adjustment problems (because it was another brand and my first time with something like this). The result is quite good, and you save a lot of work with putties for example. In any case, the relief, IMHO, is a little flat, I would have liked it to be more pronounced, that way the weathering would be more attractive. There is a brand of stickers that seems really good, A-TAK I think, although I don't know if it would be easy to get. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  6. Hi Nemanja, Many thanks for your like and kind comments, i'm glad you like it, much appreacited mate. Unfortunately the little talent I have, I think was spent on the models, I am a terrible figure painter.... Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  7. It's a nice JP, a Tamiya classic, a good addition with the movie tracks and the commander figure. Cheers Francis.
  8. Hi Roberto, Many thanks for your follow and kind comment, i'm glad you like it. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  9. Unique Camo, it must have been very difficult on something so small. I remember the ESCI kits, with which I started making tanks when I was a child, and I don't know if you have ever gotten your hands on the ESCI Sherman Calliope, which in addition to being quite decent, had a transmission, floor, basket, some bits interiors, and...engine...incredible at that scale and at that time... Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  10. Hi Andy, A classic, I never made one of these...lol. It is a very suggestive vehicle for a diorama, with a larger one next to it. Like the other, it is a good base to work on, but better, little by little, because I think something simpler is better than for the next process to ruin the previous work by not yet mastering the appropriate technique. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  11. Hi Andy, Personally I like your second take better, although cleaner, perhaps because it is a T34, "it has to be Soviet"..., a bit silly thought..., but such an iconic tank...well that... lol. It is a good base to work on, little by little, as you continue doing more, you will discover what works for you and what you like. Personally, I would start with the first process after the base coat, trying to master it, and then go to the next one, that is, step by step, without rushing. I don't know if I told you that I made one of these but from Eastern Express (published in the forum) and I used it as a guinea pig, I think I abused it a little, but it helped me a lot to learn techniques and test products, and I wouldn't do it again. do more. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  12. Hi Ed, Many thanks for your kind comments, i'm glad you like it, much appreacited mate. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  13. Hi Shagohod, a good job on an unusual subject, cool detail the inclusion of a motorcycle on the back. I remember making one of these in another life, obviously it didn't turn out so well. The tracks are those of the kit, or have you changed them, in the artbox photo, they are flat, and I think mine were like that too... Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  14. Hi Stef, Superb job in all aspects, very well presented. I love the detail on the back scale and the figure, with with personality. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  15. Hi Cesar, Interesting work, I like the detail of the loose and fallen track. A very nice and colorful base, with some unique plants. It really was a large vehicle, its appearance is deceptive. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  16. Hi Tom, Many thanks for your kind comments, i'm glad you like it, much appreacited mate. When talking about favorite, do you mean the color?...in my case it would be green...of course...lol I still have another KT in my stash, with the indoor set, but I don't think I'll touch it for a long time (and it's been stored away for years...πŸ™„). Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  17. Hi GS, It really is a beast! It can easily be seen that you have spent a lot of time and effort finishing it. Reading the process you have mentioned, the phrase "Blood, sweat and tears" comes to mind...lol. I see that you also show a photo of the belly, like me, completely finished like the rest of the model, something that doesn't seem to be done regularly... Excellent photos, I would bet (although I am usually wrong), that your equipment is very similar to the one I use for my photos. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  18. Hi Rich, Certainly the thread also worked very well, it is more subtle and less obvious, but more difficult to manipulate, In my first model (the white Panther from Italeri at 1/35), when I retouched it, to make the saggy, and so that the track would be well held between the wheels, I also used black thread, being very careful not to let it be seen or at all. At least that was the idea, and it was firmly attached with the help of CA glue. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘ (faster on the other side of the keyboard)...πŸ˜…
  19. Hi Stan, Welcome to the dark side of the forum. It's not a bad thing to start with, everything you mention is an open path towards improvement if you continue with the hobby. I don't know if you have enough space or if you are interested in that size, but you could approach the 1/35 scale. There are many kits, at a good price and with good quality to learn a lot, (Tamiya for example), and they are easier to handle because the size is very adequate. For the one-piece rubber tracks, I used the stapler, then I tried to put where they joined in a position that would not be seen, and that was it. Cheers Francis. πŸ‘
  20. Hi Maddoxx, Many thanks for your kind comments, i'm glad you like it, much appreacited mate. Lately I think about not going overboard with the effects, in an attempt to make the damage and wear as close to reality as possible, it is not easy, because personal taste is also there, looking for a balance between a flat and very real tank and /or the same with details in many places to see and with its own personality... Having a well-fed stash is a problem when choosing the next kit to undertake, hesitating, because once started, if it is not what we thought it would turn out, we have to finish it, or it will be a blank shot. . I was thinking about a Soviet vehicle, although I don't know if I will publish more, this last one is having very little feedback, I know it is not perfect, but it takes a long time to take decent photos, upload them to the host, publish the topic and have little feedback, for example Of course, it is something very personal and random, but it is a bit sad and confusing, because it makes you wonder what is wrong with the model. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  21. Hi Ian, Nice set of vehicles, very well finished, as they say, they seem on a larger scale. A resin base imitating water would be great. but I imagine it is a lot of work and complicated (at least for me it would be...lol). Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  22. Hi GS, Magnificent model, very well finished, with many details that give it a lot of realism. I also have a Panther (the second one), which I didn't finish as I would have liked (even though I posted it on the forum), and when I see it I always think about repainting it...but there are so many kits in the stash... It would be nice if you have photos of the model as it was before, if you could post some to compare the change (I'm sure for the better). Cheers. Francis.πŸ‘
  23. Hi Remus, Many thanks for your kind comments, i'm glad you like it. Cheers Francis,πŸ‘
  24. Great job in general, although what I like most is the engine block, impressive. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
  25. Hi MD, I remember this model and its compilation, I loved it, now it looks even better, those figures are great, I would love to do something like that. I'm glad you've recovered from your problem, and I hope to see something else soon. Cheers Francis.πŸ‘
