  1. American troops come across a knocked out Churchill and ponder. All 1/35 scale. Si:)
  2. This is a dio showing the lovely Lara Croft in a swampy jungle setting, all dirty and sweaty, she is posed by a large T-Rex skull and needs to get to the crystal-but it is guarded... Si:)
  3. Most kind of you to say, thank you. I must admit it is gross, but that was Giger for you...all naughty bits lol. Interesting regarding the steaming, will try that if I ever tackle something like this again. Yes, I think it was Halcyon-rings a bell anyway-glad it wasn't just me that found this kit frustrating.
  4. I was asked if I could do one for a fish tank. The problem is making it using non toxic paints, glues that will stay intact, hence I never bothered. Glad you like it though.
  5. Thank you Ross. I found a couple of the original sunken model I did, this one is slightly different regarding weathering.
  6. Nice work Ken, that is a beast and a half. Should make up into a very impressive model.
  7. This was my first time using vinyl, not the best at working with it, trimming was a pain as it was warped and in the end I used hot seaming to try and getting it to stay together. I really hated this kit and was sick and fed up by the time it came to finishing, even then it fought me-the tail fell apart and then the legs fell off...was not pleased, in fact the tip of the tail ended up being chucked across the workshed Painted using AB and then oils via sponging, I also added some two part epoxy painted onto the...er...well inner parts. Si:)
  8. This is a 1/72 scale dio. I did a Panzer III with figures on a board. Pillars are plaster cake stands with real slate and mini bricks to create the ruins. Si:)
  9. Thanks Joe, I use a fine sand scree mix that is added to the model then it is airbrushed, sponged and rusted using pigments. The previous model was placed on a sanded base but the guy that wanted this one wanted it upright, of course we know that a WWII sub would lay Port or Starboard on the seabed. I made a hardwood base and then added the plaque. He then messed about regarding price so I told him to...er, well, go away. Cheers mate, appreciate the comment.
  10. Thank you guys, it was a struggle getting the optics and the wiring in place then trying to button it all up, hence the panel line on the top, but I wasn't going to faff around with it anymore and I am happy it. Really pleased you like it, appreciate it.
  11. This is a very old AMT model, not a great fit but had fun. Si:)
  12. This was a commision build that the buyer failed to pay. It is the second sunken submarine I have made, the first a few years ago. I decided to keep this one and sold the first. It is 1/125 scale. The plaque reads: U-BOAT POEM INTO THE DEPTHS WE VALIANTLY GO, DOWNWARDS INTO THE INKY GLOOM. TOUCHING BOTTOM WE COME TO REST, TO SLEEP FOREVER IN OUR IRON TOMB. Si:)
  13. This is a monogram 1/24 Huey done as a medi-vac. I added leds and optics, used some leatherette on the seat and curtain back, added 1/35 pouches to the interior with scale red crosses as aid-kits and made a external cot, also the sliding doors have grab handles. Si:)
  14. Thank you guys, glad you like it, enjoyed the build too.
  15. I wanted to do a scene showing the door that leads down to the hanger bay. This shows two troopers awaiting more backup. It is 1/12 scale and the figures are one Black Series Sandtrooper and one Bandai import. The door is all scratch made from polystyrene and coated in a mix of fine modellers dust and PVA, this has been airbrushed and oil painted. The door sections are slats from an old blind with some plastic trim added. Other parts are from the model scrap bin. [/RL] Si:)
  16. This is a commission build for a college project that wanted a sci-fi ship that was made on a very tight budget-I.E for nothing lol. It is all made from scrap and junk, I cheated regarding the black windows, they were supposed to be drilled out but the old dodgy hands wouldn't cope, hence a tin of black enamel and a toothpick. Measures around 12 inches in length, 8 inches high and around 4 inches wide. BACKSTORY NAME: E.S SURVEYOR. CLASS: SOLAR SYSTEM EXPLORATION. BUILT: 2089 LUNAR ORBIT ASSEMBLY YARD. COMMISION DATE: 2096 WITH TRIALS AND SHAKEDOWN OVER TWO YEARS. MISSION DATE: COMMENCED 2098. CREW: 1700 ENLISTED INCLUDING SCIENTISTS/300 OFFICERS. ENGINE: ONE COLD FUSION TY-89 PRODUCING 2,500,000 LBSF USING A SLOW REACTIVE BURN EMISSION SYSTEM TO GENERATE THE PUSH AND MAINTAIN SPEED. FRONT BRAKING ENGINES USING CHANNELLED EMISSIONS FROM THE SAME ENGINE. VARIOUS RCS DOTTED AROUND PORT AND STARBOARD. MISSION: TO LEAVE LUNAR ORBIT AND HEAD OUT ON A 30 YEAR PLAN TO INNER AND OUTER PLANETS COLLECT DATA AND TO LAND SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT AND PERSONAL TO CERTAIN PLANETS. FATE: CONTACT LOST AFTER 16 YEARS, LAST KNOWN POSITION NEAR JUPITER STATION 5 RELAY SATELLITE-NO VISUALS OR SIGNALS-PRESUMED LOST. Si:)
