This is a M41 Walker Bulldog but, it is a mid 70's Danish Defence force version. In the mid to late 60's the US supplied Nato members with tanks and many received the good old Bully. The Danish ran these with some small modifications from the 70's and around late 70's into the 80's they modified them further, main change was the petrol engine into diesel, optics, turret baskets, smoke discharges, side skirts. Mine is shown from around 75-ish, it has the Euro road spec of rear lights, indicators, wing mirrors. Halogen off set spotlight (unlike the US central bigger version.) Smoke dischargers-on one side, tools on the glacis rather than right front fender area. Commander has a Gentex headset rather than the UK tankers helmet, mainly because I could not get hold of one but, this style came in in 73 so could have been issued, variations of this design are still used today. A lot is scratch parts and bits from other tanks utilised, has metal gearboxes, sprockets and tracks. So, here is my mid Danish M41, they finally hung up their tracks in 1999. P.S Little update on this. I made the 50 cal ammo can cradle wrong so went back and remade and also, changed the commanders hatch latch slightly. These changes are not shown in this set of pictures. Thanks for looking. Si.

Nothing amateurish about the weathering, great job, in fact, great job overall. The black and white photos from WW2 do not show the level of rust that shows after weeks on patrol in the atlantic. That is why after a war patrol they came back to the pens, crews had a rest and the boat was cleaned, repaired and repainted. Top job...me like very much mate.

Defo too crusty Bertie, for the time frame and conditions but...it is what it is. Pleased you like it mate, appreciate it. -
Agree, also, with it being WWII Russian there tends to be just one standard colour, so it was some steaks, rust and dust. Glad you like it mate.

1/125 Type XXI sunken sub.

Yeah, Many scuttled in deep water are damaged by just the speed they hit the bottom. This one, was scuttled in the Flensburg Firth which has some deep water but not deep enough she wasn't able to be raised-not sure of her resting place on the seabed or depth. -

Hi Jeff, the boat was scuttled in 45 and raised in 57, in that time I don't think it would have crusted as much but, There are a few pictures of her being raised but they are black and white and not great, I still think I went overboard a bit. Still, glad you enjoy looking at her and many thanks for commenting. -
Cheers Vince, chuffed you like it mate. Runs nice too, a little jerky as it is on a old system but it moves that's the main thing.

Was moving stuff about in the work shed when I came across this ready built type XXI. Now, only two served war patrols at the end of WWII, one was sunk when she broke her tow cable and the other was scuttled by her crew in 45, this was raised in 57 and refitted as the Wilhelm Bauer. I did her with some slight damage to masts and snorkel and way too much crustiness but, who cares

Hi guys. This is a PIII converted into a Russian SU76i. The Russians captured many PIII's and converted them into these nifty SPG's. This is a 3D printed top with some scratched made parts and Heng Long PIII chassis, I had to scrape the spares box to get the hull parts but, it came out okay. Fully RC and with a high intensity flash in the barrel. Like most of my tanks etc, I like to give them a personal touch so, here is 'Yana'.

Two scratch built models I made in a screen shot.
eddiesolo replied to eddiesolo's topic in Science Fiction Discussion
Hi RL, the university was Leeds, I think these shots were for lighting or something. I don't know why they did the game one, as you said probably just trying effects in PS or whatever. It was done a good few years ago. -
I had made these two models many years ago and found a image that was used, forgot all about it lol, only found it while looking through some old discs. The larger of the two is a derelict used in a university film project, done on a budget so all is scrap, junk and what ever I could find. The ''Earth patrol' ship is, if I remember correctly made from a used shower gel bottle with junk stuck on. Anyway, the images of the models were then used as a game screen. The derelict ship. As you can see, I used all sorts from computer keys to just bits, there are probably some Star Wars and Star Trek parts in there somewhere. The other ship has no pictures so, probably fell apart and was binned Any of you guys had anything used for anything? I am not a master builder and the only reason I was asked is because I knew the lad that had the project and he had £40 or something like that to make something. He asked me and I also kept the model.

Hi guys, I liked how the first sunken with interior came out so decided to do another. I use these as a exercise in colours and have done this one more darker in colour as I wanted this one to be more at depth. I have also added the other sunken version for comparison.

Hi mate, it is me, the crusty sub guy, that has also done this. You may have forgotten as to why I do not tend to do build logs or group builds. I do appreciate you commenting and likening it. If I feel okay I may maybe join in with something. -
