  1. My Niece is into dinos so I got a pound shop model special, stripped item used Milliput to resculpture the jaw area and legs. Repainted, added epoxy for eye glaze, mouth drool and nostril moisture. I then placed on a board with some greenery, added a tree stump-real wood but repainted. I added footprints and finally added a dusting. Si:)
  2. It sat for ages in the junk pile, I sat in the workshed and spotted it...wreck time! Unfortunately, many of my models, including this one, ended up being sold, mainly to create space and add a few pennies back into the hobby. Glad you like it, turned out better than I expected. LOL, I know where you're coming from, starts off nice...ends up knackered. Pleased you enjoyed my wreck.
  3. This was inspired by looking at pictures of used and abandoned WWII aircraft. Si:)
  4. Cheers mate. The story is for teens and was published in 1970, a story I grew up with, still have the book. There is only a description in the book so it is all guess work really, but I thought it would be fun as I always wanted to have a crack at it. The materials used are an old sweet tin for the drum a bubble gum dispenser for the engine and pipe assembly and then various model parts and plasticard. I intentionally kept it white with just hints of weathering due to cosmic rays/dust etc. Didn't want it all colourful and think it works okay. Si:)
  5. This is the my scratch made concept model from the Harry Harrison story Spaceship Medic. Described as a drum and a basket ball connected by a gas pipe. The interplanetary spaceliner Johannes Kepler (Big Joe) sets out from Lunar Station orbit to Mars. Over one hundred passengers settle down for ninety-two days of fun and relaxation, little did they know that not one, but two disasters would befall them... Si:)
  6. Many thanks guys, appreciate it. Glad you all enjoyed looking at my tank, means a lot. Si:)
  7. Just checked again...oops, that is down to not paying attention. Good spot Nick and thanks for commenting, glad you like it. Si:)
  8. Nicely done, great quality build. Like this very much.
  9. Nice work, good colour too and it is amazing what just some odds lying about can be made into for very little outlay. One note: The hull looks slightly too thick, but that is just an observation not a critique. Top job. Si:)
  10. They are resin, bought as painted but I redid the sailors in places and added highlights etc, the fish and animals are bought and repainted. The board is all scratch made using lollipop sticks and a broom handle. The boxes are scrap with resin lumps for ice and water effects to simulate the melting ice. The base of the jetty is sprayed and then siliconed with the growth around the piles made from cotton wool and painted. Glad you like it Vince,.
  11. Thank you. I think a a flash was used, the dog does have a light wash. Glad you like them. Cheers Foxy, Bass and er...some other gill breather
  12. This is a 1/35 Chieftain stripped and ready for working on, now in private hands, funds are the only thing lacking... Si:)
  13. This is a couple dio's I put together. I got some shelf sitter sailors, repainted them in places and made some boards for them. Si:)
  14. This is a Revell tug that ended up with a battery in it and a working prop. Well, had to have something to play with in the bath Si:)
  15. Pun away I get an idea and just have a go, sometimes it works others are bin fodder lol. Cheers Vince, had fish, large tank, had to go...but now you mention it...maybe the missus can be talked around...hmmmmmmmm.
  16. Very kind words indeed, was not 100% happy with this and went back to it, then it got sold...another that I should have kept perhaps. Cheers Billy, really pleased you like my offerings. I dabble in many genres-sometimes they work and...well, being a modeller yourself...we all know that sometimes they just do not want to know lol.
  17. Yep, I used some thin card and filler on mine. You will get there in the end, or rebox for another day lol.
  18. Yes. And... Yes...was a bit of a pig fit wise, hence why it ended up in the knackers yard.
  19. This is a 1/35 Universal Carrier, knocked out, striped and left to rust away. Si:)
  20. Ta lads, really appreciate the kind words and pleased you enjoyed it. Si:)
  21. This is a 1/35 PIV that was originally on a snow dio, I dropped it and the board and tank ended up in bits. I was going to bin the lot but decided to do it knocked out. Si:)
  22. You gave me a laugh Darby, I very much doubt it, but glad you like it.
