This is a commission build of a 1/16 Tiger that is going to be RC. The customer wanted damage to it from a couple of large rounds and some small AT rounds, non that penetrated and knocked the tank out. I have added PE grilles, light cables, cables to smoke launchers, whip aerial, and started to chip, still loads to do but this is progress so far. Si:)

1/16 KNOCKED OUT TIGER-DIO!
eddiesolo replied to eddiesolo's topic in Ready For Inspection - Dioramas
Cheers mate, glad you like it. -
Superb! Lovely dio, well executed and positioned. Love the quality of the work and the painting, weathering is subtle and enhances it. I couldn't resist so did a couple of B&W too, hope you don't mind?

I do use the same idea you have, it works, most of the time nut I still drop stuff. I have FM, arthritis and tendon/ligament issues, also have severe tennis elbow in my right arm-had a injection but it hasn't work All we can do is the best we can. I am very pleased for your first visit that you enjoyed it and appreciate the kind words. Cheers Billy, another one I enjoyed doing, well bound to really-it involves knackered and rust Thanks for the nice words mate. -

Cheers Rob, glad you enjoyed looking and for the comment. Most kind of you to say Vince, no room really for something this size and the price covered the material expense. -

Thanks guys, glad you like it. Just sold this for £110, so that will go towards another project. Si:) -
That is one of the best dios I have ever seen, top class modelling.
-
This is finished, as far as I am doing anyway. It is large, 1/16 scale so is probably going to be sold. I have put in Dio's but at present more a vignette although there is space to add a figure to make it a story. Si:)

Lovely weathering to depict the fouling and build up. Top work and very, lovely models.

Thank you, it is big Have done a bit more work but no piccies...will get some sorted. As for PIP, they be coming on Wednesday and I agree so shall flip them too

Thanks mate, I love knackered, just cannot help myself Pro-builders are few-there are some on this forum that are, what I would consider, pro builders, the rest are still learning-as I am.
-
Ta Vince, have done a bit more to it, added some newpapers and litter etc.
-
What a superb model, amazing weathering and a sublime build so far.
-
Thank you mate, hopefully I will have this finished by the end of this week.

The P-III has a bit of a rep for shedding tracks so will have to keep an eye. Alas, the flag was one I bought ages ago and it was in the tank bits box.
-
Right, I have done a 1/16 knocked out Tiger and a 1/16 knocked out T-34. Some folk have suggested that they put on a dio, well I thought about it and had a look at available space to house it and decided to do the Tiger first and see how it turned out. Now, one thing that came to mind was cash...I am currently going through the disability PIP thing, had some vet bills and basically-cash is very, very tight. So, it was what can I try and make or find in the bits/spares/junk box. This is what I have been working on so far...all parts out of the spares boxes, pigments and oil washes, sand etc. Still loads to do, but you get the idea. Si:)

Thanks Vince, it kept shedding a track-the rear idler was loose Sorted it and all is well...for now.

Thanks guys, pleased you like it. Si:)

That is one of the most stunning builds in weathering I have ever seen. Well done mate, looks so authentic! Top drawer quality build all the way, one of my faves of 2016. Si:) -
Thanks Gary, I agree tanks are good but not the healthiest of places when the armour gives. Glad you enjoyed looking and for the kind words, appreciate it. Si:)
