  1. I just read Mike's previous note on topic drift.... Keith
  2. There are a lot of Westlands out there! When it comes to strengthening plates and such I was blissfully unaware. If you want a 48th Sea King here it is. Keith
  3. Chris Gannon gave us a few good models on which to upgrade. My Albacore is pending. Keith
  4. If it is as good as the 3D PROTOTYPE that I had the pleasure of perusing a few weeks ago we are in for a treat. No bias intended. Keith
  5. Thank you for sharing. I fear airshows are a thing of the past for me now, so thank you again. Keith
  6. Best F35 that I have seen yet. Ram surface just right and no anti stealth bricks if I understand these things. Keith
  7. Super job Dick, not your usual. I presume that the flash muzzle doesn't help size wise. Keith
  8. Thank you for that VP, not well versed in linking! Keith A 1/32nd Dh Hornet. See page in Rumourmonger. Keith
  9. The projects are coming! Having fondled the Scimitar and the Hornet 3D prototypes the waiting will be worth it. I think the manufacturer is like the proverbial swan so stand by. Keith
  10. I picked this up on Flightradar24 crossing Kent . I had hoped for a snap at it but the light was rubbish. Keith
  11. I don't know the in's and out's of Moa's departure but his modeling skills and products were both interesting and exceptional. Keith
  12. It's possible that I saw my last RAF Hercules flying low over South Molton in North Devon this week. I had been watching on Flightradar24 as it stooged around central Wales (Mach loop) and lost sight of it until I heard it nearby catching site of it scurrying through the hilltops. Keith
  13. Thank you all for taking the time to look this up and for your kind and constructive comments. I am on holiday at the moment and have with me the Airfix 48th Walrus. I have really enjoyed sub constructing all the major assemblies and looking forward to getting it home for painting, assembly and some more rigging! Keith
  14. You must build it, I came close to ordering the float plane. Maybe in the future. The 32nd would be very impressive and also very heavy I would imagine. Keith
  15. Well JW, there was very little to do really, just a little light sanding here and there a a wee slice with a razor blade. All flying surface ribs were added as plastic strip or as under the main plains thin scored plastic card. There is a little in the construction section which regrettably I missed a lot of the last workings, sorry. Keith
  16. Thank you. The cabane struts were steel rods that took most of the weight of the top wing. I selected the best struts and started with the outer struts . Between the struts and rigging it turns out quite rigid. Keith
  17. Artificially long build this i`m afraid, my own fault, too many distractions! I am very pleased to have this in my collection as it is a service and period that is not very well provided for. Thanks again to Ben for making this possible and I hope I have done his creation justice. Thank you for looking in. Keith
  18. A couple of images left before the reveal. Apologies for running out of construction notes , I have to brush up on my dedication to the idea of photographing and posting! Mo st rigging holes were pre drilled.... but not all! The upper wing is sitting on steel pins for a strong mounting. There are some processes that I should have done before this stage however I wanted to crack on. Finished article is over on ready for inspection. Keith
  19. The RAF MUSEUM in my opinion should only be preserving the aircraft and equipment, records and articles connected. I expected this when Hendon opened way back and I have to express some disappointment. Keith Jones
  20. Lovely modeling Alain. Probably one of the best looking UAV's. Keith
  21. With all the best will in the world, Duxford was the best location for such a gathering. Keith
