  1. I have at last realised a life`s ambition of modelling an aircraft from my formative years of the early 1970`s. This is the Revell DC4 kit released a while ago. The decals are from F- Resin . Hope you like it. Thank you for looking. Keith
  2. I should explain myself regarding the F14 canopy suggested earlier. Around 1980 I wanted a B57 and so I began a search for bits and bobs to make it happen. I became aware that a spare Airfix Tomcat canopy was almost a perfect fit with a fairing scratched at the back. Having scratched a new nose full of radar and other sensors I was very happy my B57G Patricia Lynn if I recall. Oh and if you wanted a Tornado F2, a Mig 25 radome helps immensely! Keith
  3. Try a Tomcat canopy! Keith
  4. Very nice, a good honest display without whistles and bells. Keith
  5. I built the Bobcat C160 years ago and managed to knock it into something very passable. The most important thing that I did was to chop the cockpit roof and frames and replaced it with the clear insert provided in the kit. This gives the whole cockpit area a much better shape. If you are looking for a Transall please don't overlook the Bobcat. Keith
  6. Not necessarily. Keith
  7. It rather makes me smile looking at this having built it in the sixties. I feel sorry for those that have trouble with more recent Airfix products. Keith
  8. Yes I think Roden club badges are available. They come in six parts with four optional pieces.... Keith
  9. I tried, I really tried to build the original Spitfire IX! Just for old times sake but I just couldn't bring myself to finish it . So you have my hearty congratulations. Keith
  10. I thought Zvezda were Ukrainian, am I wrong? Keith
  11. And now Manston is to reopen at last with a £500 million investment for airfreight and later a new passenger terminal. Wheels on the runway 2026. It has been a long and painful legal road since closure but on the plus side helicopter operations have kept the airspace busy and due to the generosity of the owners Riveroak we have seen two charity fly ins this year with over eighty light aircraft attending. Keith
  12. I like to think an Alize kit would grab my attention but I wasn't aware of this kit, who makes it? I think Dynavecta intended to but did not I believe. Keith
  13. Excellent build CJP . I passed this kit on a year or so ago . The kit for a vacform is the best of its genre and although I did not build it I did build Dynavecta's Sea Hornet and was very pleased with that. Keith
  14. Beautiful Spitfire, thank you for sharing. Keith
  15. Jonathan Whaley regularly flew Misdemeanor with the hood slid back. Very good memories of watching him cavorting over Manston from my garden, happy days. Keith
  16. It doesn't tell me at a glance who the operator might be with that tail logo. BA, American Emirates do the job for me. Keith
  17. A friend of mine has almost binned his Italieri kit in frustration, would that have been a good idea? I have advised him to carry on. Keith
  18. I just read Mike's previous note on topic drift.... Keith
