Question about Airfix Gannet decal sheet
Britman replied to Steve in Ottawa's topic in Aircraft Cold War
I'm intrigued, why do you need that information if you don't mind me asking. -
But will it look like a BT67? If so it should not be a problem. Keith

Aleutian Tigers P-40E camouflage colors - link to thread on Hyperscale
Britman replied to Troy Smith's topic in Aircraft WWII
I remember that Revell 32nd scale P40 Aleutian Tiger artwork. It was a good kit at the time and the artwork just sold it. Keith -

Lovely job there Dick. Is this to go with expected Scimitar? Keith

I have had the pleasure of handling both the 3D pattern prototypes of the Scimitar and Sea Hornet. They are very impressive. As a member of our East Kent Model club we have regular visit from DBMK and he informs us that progress is expected with these products, however getting all the ducks to stay inline has been time consuming. I hope our man doesn't mind me saying this as we obviously all adhere to a modicum of confidentiality with his generous insight to these products. Patience is the key and I know what it's like to see something in the model shop window and they are closed! Keith

If I remember correctly part of BAe's share of the deal from the projects beginnings was to construct all rear fuselage assemblies. Am I mistaken or is this a lucrative reality? Keith

Airfix 1/72 P-51D Mustang simplified starter kit - due Spring 2024
Britman replied to klr's topic in The Rumourmonger
Maybe Airfix could do a double boxing othe the starter kits without the paints etc. £15 for two could be attractive to multiple type builders. We will have to see what the collective think of these new products, I know some will say that the starboard nav light is on the wrong side and seat belts are back to front. But if it looks the part without being over simplified that would be great. Remember though these are starter kits and not really aimed at big boys and girls and probably not as basic as the Heller Bobcat range. Keith -
Airfix 1/72 P-51D Mustang simplified starter kit - due Spring 2024

Thank you Georgio you have answered my question regarding which kit to go with. I am more than happy with the Airfix 109E and it's price. Keith -
Airfix 1/72 P-51D Mustang simplified starter kit - due Spring 2024

I think these may be good for multiple builds as I ponder half a dozen 109E's. Having said that I think I saw an add for three 109E trees for £18, AZ I think. Keith -
I need to build a Baxter aviation one, my first float plane flight was Nanimo to Sproat lake along side another and a C45 floater! Keith

Looking forward to the Bulldog very much. It seems to me very fashionable to knock Airfix but what you get in the box is a quantum leap over the fifty years that I have been modelling. Keith

I could be a great Chinook exercise. Unfortunately HSE would get in the way. Keith
