  1. Hi Elger, the post from the UK to here on the east coast USA just south of Boston averages about 10 days. I don't know what the normal is for Europe.
  2. Hi Adrian, yes, definately get the Aerocraft cowling set. It includes the oil coolers too. Makes a world of difference to the finished model and the molding quality is first class.
  3. Also not many, if any, knots. Aircraft grade ply even back then, would be of the higest quality.
  4. If you google "DH2 Rigging Diagram" it comes up with an old page from Bob's Buckles with a downloadable step by step guide
  5. Hi EJ, I came across this book at a hobby show the other week. It has some really good descriptions on how to correctly model wakes and waveforms and ocean. Waterline Dioramas, a modelbuilders artform. by Justin Camarata. ISBN 978-0-9820579-2-6 www.seawatchbooks.com
  6. Also don't forget Aerocraft Models has released a cowling correction set for the ICM kit
  7. Those wires are actually tailplane bracing wires anchored to the skid metal bracing, not skid bracing.
  8. Thanks Chris, will try that. Just getting green boxes too. ( looking on my phone) Yep, that works. I tapped the green box, it opened on a new tab with a green box, tapped the new green box and it opened the picture.
  9. This is one for John Adams I think. Will have a look through my refs when I get home to see if there is any mention of "how".
  10. Agree, full load ready to go. ( my dinghy on the CC also has the obligitory stash of errrr......refreshment!)
  11. Will definately follow along with that one. I have a few Silver Wings 1/32 Harts and Demons in the stash, one of which is destined to be a Turret Demon eventually.
  12. errr....I'm still trying to figure out how you land the one in Dogbody's top plan. Do you land parralell to the quayside with one wheel on the harbor wall and hope the tide is in?
  13. Hi Gang, just been looking at Reini78's really nice model over on RFI. A thought popped up (HEY! Quiet at the back!) that on the vast majority of Swordfish models one see's, it looks like the lower wings have anhedral. I don't have many ref's for this. Should they have anhedral or be neutral? Btw, to my eyes the Hanriot fighter from WW1 always seems to have the same look also.
  14. Good Grief! that is AWESOME! WELL DONE!
  15. Awesome Mike, thank you. Is the PDF ready yet? ( says Pete, chomping on the bit to print out and shash away in the kit box for the next god knows how long!)
  16. but don't forget 1940's colour film was not as accurate at reproducing exact colours as it is today. Regards, Pete
  17. I think I would go for the angler fish every time. (Martian) Well, you would feel more at home in there vs the Air Sedan.
  18. This is a great thread. Going to use it when I start my Hart family from Silver Wings in 1/32.
  19. YOU DID IT!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!! WELL DONE THAT MAN! The General and Martian will be sooo jealous you beat them to the finish. Regards, Pete in RI
  20. OOOhhhh......Lovely. Nice to see one of these built up. Remember doing most of the Italeri Italian kits in my younger days, and have re-acquired most of them into the stash over the years. Heather, who makes the PE? Regards, Pete in RI
  21. Lovely model, and this thread will be printed out and saved for future reference. I have two questions though. First off, how are you going to incorporate Optimus Prime into a diorama with this? and second, I remember reading somewhere about another planned new SR-71. Was it by Gaspatch or someone else? Regards, Pete in RI
  22. Looks like there is a Gauntlet in there and also a Gamecock.
