  1. The last mossie I built was an NF from a 1/72 Airfix kit way back in the late '70's and entered in my local ATC squadrons yearly comp. (110 City of York Sqn) and it did quite well. IIRC (lololol) ๐Ÿค”
  2. Being a WW1 nut, am used to wood airframes, lol. But thanks for the heads up. Thanks Ilj for the heads up on the guns, those would have been replaced anyway. I am a fan of finer parts. Any cockpit details out there? It does have a rather large canopy.
  3. Hi Gang. I scored the Tamiya Mossie Mk6/NF2 in the show raffle recently. Thank you PATCON! As I am predominantly a WW1 junky, how good is the kit?, what are, if any, pitfalls. And how are the A/M ? Anything worthwhile getting out there? I am totally open to options for markings and colour schemes also. Regards, Pete in RI
  4. That is a really nice kit Max, I hope it goes to a good home.
  5. Good Grief!!!!! Those photographs are AWESOME Ian, well done! Regards, Pete in RI
  6. Hi Pip, shutters would be closed for a cold start engine, then opened up as the motor warmed up. Parked with the engine off, they could be either way, your choice. Usually painted the same colour as the cowlings. HTH, Pete
  7. I bought their 1/72 Flower Class sheet for HMCS Snowberry. Awesome set. First class sheet with all the small markings, stencils, etc. included. Highly recommended.
  8. Although I have noticed that my thoughts and casual reserch has been Flower Class oriented.
  9. Jeff, I have done a 1/72 U Boat, which did very well in the conpetition circuit a few years ago, and am working on a 1/72 Gato class as and when. ( not much of the original kit left lol) and a 1/72 S boat. But most of my available bench time at the moment is taken up with planning / prototyping a 1/32 ZS R6 scratchbuild for 3 of us and trying to complete a 1/32 Caudron G3
  10. lolol, My house is not big enough to house a 1/72 HMS Hood, and Dan Fischer ( Dafi) only makes detail sets in 1/100 for the Heller kit. My woodworking skills are not up to a Plank on Frame big kit for Victory!
  11. They do, I have all they do for the 1/200 HMS Hood, and on the merits of that first order, am awaiting the 1/72 set for the Flower Class Corvette. Should be here this week I think the Corvette will be the next project after the Caudron G3, with the Hood as a diversion. (Hood is a major long term project along with 1/100 HMS Victory)
  12. Do we have some French members who may know? Jean Barby perhaps? or contact the French IPMS?
  13. Maybe call Elvington air museum? French squadrons were based there.
  14. I think you should send this to the HMS Hood Association website. They would love it!
  15. Now THAT is how a large scale ship should be done!Awesome, well done.
  16. These guys in NZ are the Dogs' Danglies! Their products are world class, accurate, well packed, (delicate parts survived the rigors of the post from NZ to east coast USA), and, considering the reserch, design, and production investment...correctly priced. Believe me, you get what you pay for. The detail is increadible. If you want to up your detail game, get these parts. Product curtousy of my wallet. Just passing on the thoughts of a happy customer. Regards, Pete in RI
  17. Now here is something you don't see everyday! That's Awesone! well done. regards Pete in RI
  18. Just as a side thought, does anyone know of another 1/32 turret demon that has been done before?
  19. That motor is looking very promising Tony, well done. Well done Patrik too, that's a great build.
  20. Hi all, the parts arrived today and are VERY nicely done.
  21. Will test fit the turret to the kit when it arrives, and let you all know how the fit is. ๐Ÿ‘
