  1. HI everybody! This week end I had some freetime to work on the Me109; here are the few progress: Engine ignition lines finished, need to add other connections on the aft section. I'm scratch building a component missing on the Rh side of the engine. I've also started the cockpit... obviously, pin injector marks are on the non visible side of the panel .... That's all folks ! A good week to everybody! Greif
  2. Update. Thanks to Mattlow for the tip for displaying the photos ! The box : Instructions : Decals : Main fuselage : Engine, before : Engine, wip : The inusual painting scheme I would like to do.... feedbacks welcomed!
  3. It seems we've read the same article! However I want to keep the old lady as it is. I just upgrade a bit the engine and maybe scratch the missing landing gear wells. Another missing part of this kit is the armor plate behind the pilot head inside the canopy. Not a big issue though! Today I try to post the first pic. Ciao!
  4. No, not for the moment. I've just finished reading the topic regarding pics posting... No choice, I'll do it tomorrow. Really want to show you this "old lady".
  5. First topic on Britmodeller for me.... I'll try to deal with pic posting also.... Let's talk about the Me 109E3/4 in 1/32 by Matchbox... Kit ref PK-502... If I close my eyes I still can remember the toys shop where I use to pick up my models... Monogram, revell, airfix, esci, italeri, Heller (we are in France!) and of course ... Matchbox! I remember this kit, this long and narrow box with the 109 taking-off, and back in my 8 years old kid mind I was thinking:"what a monster of model " ! Life is sometimes strange because I have waited to be 41 years old to get this kit: a colleague of mine, one day, brought me a plastic bag with this old dirty box and told me:" my dad had started but never had the time to finish it(he died years ago)... I give you this kit... Try to see if you can manage to do something with it.... Well I was a little bit surprised and emotioned, divided between my kid's souvenir and my colleague's dad... The kit is complete and intact... The date on the box is 1976... I was born in 1974... Everything is here, attached on the sprues. The engine has been started very badly, assembled upside down, but that's not a big issue.. The decal have suffered a bit due to the years...not so confident they could still fit, but I will try the same. Details are very simple, not rivets on the overall structure and the panels grooves are very deep..but that's an old lady, I can't ask the same standards as a modern kit. I've started to put together the Db 603 engine and added some details missing like the ignition lines connections missing from the magnetos, remove the molded cables to the spark igniters and replaced with copper wire, corrected the gear box in the lower aft section of the engine case and added the timing shafts... Well nothing so difficult, but since the engine section is in view it could give a plus to the result. Now it's the time when I would like to post pictures, to show you the WIP, but I don't know how to do!!,,,
  6. Well, I was about to create a new topic regarding the model I'm doing at the moment : the Me109E-3/4 in 1/32, kit ref PK-502. Smells like childhood souvenirs! Simple kit with low details, but general fuselage assembly perfect for a kit that old! More on the topic dedicated to it. Cheers
