Lovely 109!! The Camo is very nice. Is the engine visible? I'm (finally) finishing my matchbox one; sooner in RFI. -
Amazing!!! I really like your paintjob. This sea Hurricane joigns my wishlist!!

This Königstiger looks very good! Nice to see an unusual Camo as well. Excellent work, congrats!!

Very nice diorama! Amazing ground work!!

Thank you Tony, much appreciated! I use RLM collection from Lifecolor and all basic color from Tamiya. Tonight the Lady has received RLM02; and in this instant I'm doing a bit of chipping. Cheers

Hi modellers, lets update this topic! Finally I solved the problem of my non-fitting-DB 603... the oil cooler was chaffing with its cowling I've decided to remove the pipe between the engine's head and the cooler: it solves the problem simply and it's absolutely invisible. At this point it was time for priming: Then the pre-shading follows, using Tamiya NATO black : Then follows a serie of misfortune and deception : I was intending to paint her in nude aluminium... I've used Tamiya flat and then polished aluminium. I don't know if it was due to bad application, error in thinning ... but the result was so rough, glitter and artificial that I 've decided to give up this scheme and reply to the original "5 gelb" version. I sanded the 109 with a very light paper and water to cancel all the roughness of the paint... after this the color was nearly ok ,I mean it was what I was expecting originally .... but at this point my mind had changed definetely to a classic scheme. Next time I'll try with Alclad. So let' s apply RLM 65 ! I need to admit that seeing her with this color really turns me on. I love this result, so my deception is forgotten. Now the old Lady is masked, ready for a coat of RLM 02, followed by RLM 71. Next update, I hope to show her with the first decals on... Thanks for watching and have a nice Week end Cheers

Hi modellers! Some of you may have thought I gave up my Greif and put it back into the remotest point of my stash... no!! The reason I'm not posting any wip is mainly due to lack of time for modeling during this period; but I'm still indirectly working on it gathering pictures and documents. I found the Heinkel flight manuals which are an immense source of informations. I can now say that my ideas are clear about how to proceed and what to detail and what to leave over (especially if not barely visible) In the end I've decided to convert this He 177 A-3 to an A-7 "end war" standard. This means larger and square cockpit side and upper windows, increased wingspan, modified ailerons and front MG81 to be replaced by a twin MG81Z. One of this 177 A-7 is famously known as the WR 550256 which has flown under American and French cocards.... Kit proposed by MPM, but it's just an A-3 standard with US or French decals ..... I have chosen another one : I will do the He 177 A-7 WR 550210 (Arado production) which was part of I.KG40 at Orleans (France) during June 1944. Painting scheme is the classic RLM 76 on the lower fuselage, fin and wings and RLM 71/RLM 70 on top. My problem is that I've found only two pictures of this aircraft and the tail codes are not visible .. Anyone has information regarding this Greif please? More to come briefly, I promise!

What a beautiful wip! I'm sure this Cat will be awesome, just as his little 1/72 brother!! Unfortunately, the missing time is a well known problem to me also . We're nearly half 2016 and I have still concluded nothing!!!

As Simon said, I've started my 109 in December and it's two weeks now that I'm trying desperately to find one hour to finally prime it.... Anyway, lovely models, I like very much the vignettes; it gives me a lot of inspiration.

Amazing Mustang! The pics are also very well taken and it increases the rendering of this beautiful model. I assume she's in 1/32 ?

Stunning ! Beautiful camouflage. -
Nice Tiger !! I like the camouflage; it looks more modern, like the bundeswehr one, and it works perfectly on this big hunting Tiger.

A masterpiece ! Congratulations, she's gorgeous! I had made the training version TB 58 Boomerang from Italeri when I was teen.... far far away from this amazing result -
It looks pretty good !

I've seen only now the smal escort ships on the side of the diorama... What a great idea! Very convincing! Whatever the color of the tractor, this is a wonderful diorama. -

Really amazing!!! Congrats! -
Hi modelers! I've been very busy these last two months : family, job, band, etc have kept me far away from modeling... but I've managed to proceed my old 109 these last days... finally the cockpit is finished: I've reworked the aiming sight and installed it, painted the inner canopy with RLM66 and bonded it to the fuselage. For the final display, the central canopy will be left opened of course. I've finish engraving the rivet lines on the wings; I like the result, the wings are not so detailed so it adds a bit of realism. It was then time to check the engine and MG fairings before painting: The MG fairing needed to be shortened a bit because it didn't fit in place well, and I've opened all the molded scoops. I've decided not to respect the history regarding the compressor air intake and fit it to the fairing instead of the fuselage, this is for future easier removal. The engine fairing walls were too thick and chaffed with the engine oil tank, hoses... initially the kit was not intended to have a detailed engine... So I 've sanded the walls until I got a nice clearance and fitting. The MG area will be done after the overall paint... Next step: cockpit masking and priming! Thanks for reading and happy modeling! Cheers Erik
