Joined the internet in the times of the Sinclair & Commodore computers. Always used Laurie Where ever I go the Doc. Dentist local shop it is always Laurie. With the strong Scottish ancestry we gave both our boys as a second name Ian. Laurence came from my Great Grandfather of Shetland heritage. Laurie

  5. Yeah all right Doc. . Falkirk. Mmm just below Stirling & the famous Wallace. Wore my first kilt in Stirling some years ago. Family history. I am English, Surrey born. However maternal Grandfather, a Johnson, was a Shetlander. Paternal Great Grandfather born in Glasgow. My two boys have kilts in the cupd. Just to keep that history alive.   8. In Jersey every one of the population got a card for a £100.. This was end of last year. Made difference to shops & businesses. & families. Laurie

  10. Waking up this morning & taking the patch off my left eye. Seeing with it a clear picture of the world. Cataract removed yesterday. Cataracts on both eyes removed now. Superb can see detail on my kit under construction with out magnifiers. Over the moon. Laurie

  12. Thanks Alex. Could not come sooner. With just one eye now working well I am hardly having to resort to magnifiers. Covid free test yesterday so second eye tomorrow, Hard luck though having to pay for it all. Two year wait otherwise. Laurie
  13. Actually on the Apron. Ha ha. Thanks Steve very nice of you. Hope all is well down south. We have been having warm weather, near heat wave some days, Indian Summer as seems always to happen. Second eye for cataract Wednesday. Hopefully I will then cast aside magnifiers except for extreme reasons. Gee not realised how bad the second eye is until the right had the magic applied. Jersey B of B air display on Thursday last. 2.5 hours all near our flat. B17, Dakota Catalina Typoon Spitfire many others plus Red Arrows. Laurie

  20. Just one eye Alex the other next week To complicated with the chairs so ditched them. In reality you can only see the head in the window. To be honest 1/72 not my scale. Just had to build Jersey airport. 1/72 only way to get all the differnt aircraft. My favourite by far 1/48. Yes the cockpit is tight You had to be thin 🤣 Laurie
