  1. Congrats & have fun. Sounds like lots of food & sights in your near future.
  2. Little throwback to the NATO/Warsaw Pact editions of yore.
  3. The old Hase kit still builds up into a decent model. I will still pick them up if I catch a good deal on one. For some models like the Spey & RF birds, it's the only option right now.
  4. Not current production either, but the Eduard "NATO Fighter" boxing includes Norwegian markings that may be out there second-hand.
  5. Glad to have you aboard @Giorgio N. I'm sure @vppelt68 will be along before too long bearing flags.
  6. I've got a few F-104s in the stash...so this is a fine excuse to build one. Hasegawa's venerable 1/48 Starfighter kit repackaged by Eduard with some extra goodies and decals for several operators. A small bit of additional AM will be acquired (some bits already sitting in the cart awaiting payday), likely surrounding engine can, bang seat, pylons & weapons. Not planning anything extravagant, but it wouldn't be the first time things got out of hand. Parts are washed and patiently waiting the start. Realistically it'll be Sunday before I can even look at it...and there is currently a 1/72 Tomcat on the bench vying for space (never mind the F-4EJ Kai & Mig-25 that need to find their way back ). I'm not personally a fan of the special meet markings, so the red & white accents will likely be left off representing a typical line jet.
  7. It's all just prep work your honor.
  8. Jumping the gun Reini. Doesn't start until the 4th. Do like your choice. I'll be building one of these in 48th.
  9. Lovely choice. I’ve got one that I’ve begun…..need to get around to finishing though. Also IDF scheme. 😎
  10. Bloody hell this one snuck up.... Guess this is about as appropriate of a boxing as one can find.
  11. Haven't had a strawberry milkshake (or any flavor really) in quite some time. Maybe have to take a trip down to one of the local drive-ins this coming weekend before the crazy work hours start next week.
  12. Time for a bit of catch up on this. Attempting to push this one to the finish line for this month's club meeting for "Shelf of Doom". It was never really relegated to SoD status, but certainly got set on the back burner.
  13. I think I have a kit of that.... Edit: I lie. It was a Hs129 B-3. And it was "only" a 75mm cannon, not an 88.
  14. I may or may not have acquired an EA-6A conversion recently. Guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for another HB A-6A/E in the future.
  15. Not to much to look at, as it's all fit/finish work as I'm edging closer to the paint stage. Nose fitted and blended in...we'll see how it looks after some primer. I suspect I'll be doing a little more blending work there. Also working on pre-assembly & fitting of the engines prior to paint. These buggers take a bit of time, careful cutting, and some fiddling. But with how big & open they are, I should see a fair return on time investment.
  16. Both IR & radar R-40s were carried and typically fired in pairs. The IR first, followed by the radar guided. The RD (radar guided) is the one with the pointier nose.
  17. Yeah, that. I’m at work so not staring at the box. Should probably fix the spreadsheet too.
  18. Plenty of GBs I’m either interested in or have something in the stash (at least 14). After loading the GBs into a spreadsheet and seeing how they space out over the year, the following are currently the primary focus. WWII Twins - Ki 45 Kai “Nick” **NATO** - CF-104 Starfighter Project Cancelled - F-107A Mirage III STGB - IAF Mirage IIICJ or Belgian Mirage 5BR As always, subject to change & additions.
  19. Still not likely by the 17th...but it will help the chances at any rate. I took too long of a hiatus.
  20. Been some time since I've been able to work on this. But found a little time & motivation to make a couple more steps forward.
