  1. I have this in the stash, Woeful amount of aftermarket stuff for it cockpit wise etc so it has stayed put. My father built this one in the 80's and did a fine effort with it so I want to follow in his footsteps. I'll tune in here to pick some tips up, Keep up the good work!
  2. ah good I can see the pics, I'll tune in for this one now. Happy Memory of making this one too.
  3. Nice series of chat from this bloke on you tube. I like them anyhow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju7FmGw3u1s
  4. Managed to sneak out for some wine and Flowers, all ok to spend some quality time with myself in the shed tonight
  5. Cheers lads appreciate the comments, Really do!! Meant to go out yesterday to get the ol flowers and card for V Day today but completely engrossed in this I forgot...ooops!
  6. We Are good at this nonsense here, There will probably spend the price of 20 F-16, All the support equipment needed on 50 consultant reports that will get filed away and reviewed every 5 years and in the end nothing to show for it.
  7. TBH money would be better spent elsewhere on social and environmental stuff before they start wasting money on fancy jets...
  8. Good evening fellow modellers and it is certainly good!. Call the Midwife was select on tele so what better reason than to tackle the reveal. No pushing or screaming involved but it too the bones of a hour to take off the masking! I got away with it I think. Bit of touching up here and there but otherwise yes I think it is ok! First Part: Bit more: and it all off! all the best, Let the week flyby...
  9. Cheers, Have some resin ones on order from that Dutch Modelshop, Slipped another Viggen in the order too.... they look like something after a few beers!!!
  10. Evening Folks, A cold windy one it is here....Popped out to the shed a spray the brown on, Also had tackled the Missiles and here as you will see I have come to grief, These were painted up and put aside but somehow fell onto the storage heater, well the were attached to pegs and cocktail sticks and I found them on top to the heater. TBH its never really on but I accidentally switched it on earlier and the results are as can be seen, I have to see If I can get resin ones.....Bugger anyway. I kinda feel its not quite Pedigree now...Sorrie.
  11. These are Humbrol Dave, Never had the problem 'in house' till I moved to a portacabin as my workshop.I thing the paint is too cold, Tacky and damp come into Play, I normally heat the paint up now.
  12. Morning all, While my Auditing system is down at the moment I took a few shots of the progress. Now the fun starts. Over the past few builds I have had major issue with masking tape pulling paint of my models to the extent I have not build Plastic for about a year, a Build of an Airfix 1/72 jump started me again as it went well so here we go, Just hope to go after all this the paint stays put when it peels off! for the plan sections I am cutting out the scale pattern over photocopied plans from the decal sheet I showed earlier, Slow but fun, Just stick on a CD and an hour goes buy quite nicely. Bit more difficult on the sides etc so using tape cut into 1mm strips and lying those down as we go one.
  13. nice build, I remember being amazed seeing the Dio Base in the Box, When I worked in a Model Shop these kits were a handy way of passing the time!
  14. Performance Enhancing pints, I Find I can answer more questions on Uni challenge with 1 or 2 beers in me! Not sure why but it works!! I try that now for airbrushing!!
  15. Lovely choice, Bit Jealous, I will have to build a 26 before I peg it!
  16. Corr Brymon too, used to love Watching their Dash 7 pop in and out of Cork airport with such grace.
  17. Good God they are very nice, Just out of a 1970's RAF yearbook! the Red scheme is just soooooo lovely. You are making this modelling lark look easy!
  18. Have one of these calling me in the loft each time I go up so I am following here now!
  19. Hi Lads, Managed to locate an AD-5 Skyraider but there are no Decals on the box.. There are some lovely colourful schemes from Caracal but are not available present and Decals for that variant are few a far between it seems, Hannats don have any for instance. If anyone has a spare of scheme they don't intend to do I would be happy to buy them off you plus the cost of postage to Ireland. MTIA George
  20. Evening all, Can't tick off any of the others but just bagged a 1.48 Fury, 1.72 Gladiator , 1/72 Mig 21 for €40. Not too bad of a haul. This retro build is really invigorating TBH. See a chaps stash picture someone threw up on another thread has 3 single seat Viggens in there!! 😕
  21. Thats coming along nicely, I think I did the Airfrix Lissie in IAC some time ago....Tune in now.
