    Peter, I've been following this build for a while and am amazed at your work & patience! A real shame about the pin striping! For what it's worth......back in my serious RC Heli days we would occasionally paint a bare aluminum heli frame(before anodizing became the norm) and the ONLY paint that would stick without the use of primer was two part epoxy paint. We would prep the aluminum in a similar manner as you are doing, sand the aluminum with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper followed by a good cleaning with white vinegar. Not sure if it's available in the UK, but here in the States one of the best epoxys for model use in KlassKote. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure you will solve this issue just as you did with the canopy. Looking forward to seeing this model completed. Ralph
