Stunning model but I would like to have seen a photo of the full diorama as opposed to just lots of close ups.

Terrible news. Pass on my condolences to your poor wife.

I always use paper masks as I feel it provides a nicer edge to the finished paint job than just using masking tape directly onto the surface. Yes it is much trickier and more time consuming to apply but the end result is superior.
Despite this sounding like a total contradiction I like the soft hard edge that paper masks provide.
Your Blenheim looks great.

Had to look twice at the top outdoor photo. Thought it was a real Hurricane for a second.

I can only echo all the complimentary comments posted above and your checkerboard masking and painting is phenomenal.

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. As a newcomer to posting on Britmodeller I can tell you they are much appreciated.
Gordon, I've taken your comment about proliferation to heart and have therefore begun my Airfix P-40B starter set. It's the Neville Duke Desert scheme with codes GA-F.
I'm not at all knowledgeable about P-40s and the Airfix instructions are effectively useless for colour call outs, so any advice would be appreciated.
Happy modelling!
Keith.
Spookily enough I have just started a P-40E and from what I can work out the interior would have been finished in either US Interior Green or Zinc Chromate and not the RAF Interior Green.
A P-40B in the desert would in all likelihood be finished in Dark Earth/Middle Stone on top with Azure Blue undersides. Might be worth doing some online detective work just to confirm that though. Hope this helps.

It doesn't look good for the pilot and SOE agents getting away!

Can I ask whether the above discussion surrounding the colours of the RAF Matadors would be applicable to the Airfix Albion Refueller model I have just started?

I have literally just started this - dare I say - quite vintage kit and you have done a fabulous job with it. Looks great.

Cracking little Spitfire model - really love the paint job.
You really ought to try and be a bit more prolific than 2 in 20 years though! Judging by how good this one looks you could soon be building some jaw dropping models.

The artwork shown by Hannants does have DUAL COMBO written on it in big bold caps...
At the pre-order price of £52 that's £26 per kit which given the decal sheet, the spares potential and the masks and etch and so on makes it a pretty decent price. As this is a native Eduard kit there should not be any great shortage of low-cost overtrees either
So Dual Combo means two kits in one boxing! Who knew?
Anyway thanks for the info and the reply and putting my mind at ease.

Just had my weekly Hannants email through and I am thoroughly confused as to what exactly Eduard are releasing with regards the Spitfire Mk.1.
Can I ask is there going to be one or two or three or even more kits in the box? I naturally assumed it would be one model in one box with their usual Profipack version but now I am not so sure.
Hannants are strongly advising to backorder this release as in their words "the new Eduard Spitfire looks set to become one of the best selling kits we have ever had. Not just best selling Eduard kit but best seller from any range!" But they have it listed at £57. The price is what made we wonder how many kits might be in the box.
I like everyone else don't really want to miss this kit but at the present time I kind of only need one not half a squadron!!

Beautifully painted and presented figure. Love it.

A beautifully built and presented model. Love the photos and base.
The RAF SEAC colours make for a nice scheme.

It's the wrong colour.

Really nice diorama and well done on managing to build the Bronco A13 MkIV. I started that kit and got as far as the individual track links before the whole thing came undone and I gave up.

Great diorama. Can't say I have ever heard of someone being inspired by a video game.
Love your groundwork, road and grass.

I can only echo all the complimentary comments above. A beautifully finished Hurricane.
And Spitfire.
And Defiant.
I have the AIrfix Hurricane and Defiant in my stash and after seeing this I have a strong feeling they will both be coming out soon.

Stunning model and some great photographs. Your extra stowage items are very well done with obviously the most important piece of equipment being the traffic cone! You wouldn't really want to go into battle without one.
