  1. Lovely weathering, lovely painting, exquisite glasswork and beautifully photographed. Love it.
  2. Looking really good so far Tom. I have some of that foam but I found it to be quite soft and hard to make any carvings look realistic.
  3. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere on the site but I thought I'd share it here. This is beyond phenomenal, Enjoy https://youtu.be/JsEu1bSBWbw
  4. A bit of a gruesome subject to depict but an utterly fantastic execution of all elements of the diorama.
  5. To release a kit of a Fairy? ๐Ÿคจ Sorry. I'll get my coat. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  6. Far be it from me to bring the discussion back to the forum topic but has there been any new kits announced from any of the manufacturers who are attending or have attended Nuremberg?
  7. Outstanding work Graeme. Foliage and trees and shrubs must be one of the most time consuming and hardest things to do in modelling but they always enhance a scene and bring so much realism. You have accomplished it brilliantly. Love it.
  8. Excellent work Mark - what did you use to create the seafoam?
  9. Hmmm......no doubt it wil be spectacular but upon seeing these pics I'm beginning to think that this kit looks like it's broken down into way too many parts. Time will tell
  10. Good work Yg even if I do find the subject matter to be repulsive.
  11. Cracking Spitfire model. The only geographical correction in your description is that RAF Turnhouse was Edinburgh and not Ayr. Edinburgh is on the East coast of Scotland and Ayr is the West. The RAF station at Ayr was called Heathfield adjacent to Prestwick Airport.
  12. Are those the notorious Eduard decals or aftermarket or printed markings or what? If they are the kit decals then might I ask how they performed?
  13. Does this version of this kit come with rubber band tracks? I bought the Bronco A13 Cruiser MkIVA release and it came with individual track links and because the contact points were so tiny the build came, quite literally, to a shattering halt. Tracks exploded in several bits and with no replacement the model was binned. Anyway, all my bitterness aside, it's looking good so far Simon.
  14. I used to cycle past the entrance to HMS Gannet at Prestwick Airport when they had a Gannet as a gate guardian and I always thought it an unattractive barrel of a thing. Afraid my opinion remains unchanged. Says me an unattractive barrel of a modeller. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  15. I am sure it will be a great kit, as the Italeri and Tamiya ones are, but my God the F-35 has all the sex appeal of a lawnmower or an iron!
  16. Don't feel under any pressure to clear any of my current modelling projects to get stuck into the 2023 Airfix releases I'm afraid.
  17. With all the post Brexit, post Covid, high electric and plastic prices the launch will probably just be an Airfix designer running around an empty hangar with his arms outstretched shouting "look at meee - I'm a 1/24th scale Hurricane"
  18. If a 1/24 Hurricane is confirmed then I predicted it earlier this morning and therefore I win the prize. ๐Ÿ˜€
  19. My guesses now are a 1/48 RAF Buccaneer (to be released late in 2023) a 1/24 Hurricane (which mark to be decided) and obviously a new tooled 1/72 WWII subject (maybe an American or German subject to counter all their Britishness) ๐Ÿ™‚
  20. I am sure it's already been said but seeing as their event is being held at a Hawker Hurricane exhibition then I guess we already know what their main release is going to be. It's a bit like Blankety Blank - the clue is in the question. It's at a Hawker Hurricane exhibition... A Hurricane exhibition... A Hurricane....
  21. It's going to be a Lockheed Hudson in 1/72 and, A P-40F/L in 1/48 innit. I know this to be true because a few years ago at Telford when Airfix were asking modellers what they would like them to tool I put in their suggestion box the following a Bristol Beaufort a Lockheed Hudson a P-40F/L The Beaufort's been done so the others are a done deal as far as I am concerned. Sorted ๐Ÿ™‚
