  1. £2 you must be joking!?!? Any other bargains? Awesome Canberra by the way
  2. Love this colourful scheme. Must have taken time to get them sitting right, great build
  3. To be honest I think £55 is about what you would expect to pay for something of this size. I'm VERY excited about this one, and the 1/48th Stuka. Well done to Airfix as no one would have expected this in 2008/9
  4. Wow that does look really fetching! Suits the aircraft well and you've done a very good job with the placement of the roundels. Great whif
  5. Very nice indeed. I have one of these in the stash that I am just itching to start JP
  6. Thank you for the kind words gents, to answer a few questions and suggestions in one go, I found the kit to be excellent, as almost all the new Airfix kits are. My only issue would be the fit of the wings to the fuselage, which leaves a nasty step to sand out at back. It goes together a LOT better than the 1/72 version, which I fiind has major problems with the undercarriage. That said I can't recommend it enough as it is thoroughly enjoyable and quite a quick build too. I think the fin flashes are a bit of lost cause as they are sealed inn with satin varnish (unless I buy another kit - which I might) although the larger wing roundels are included in the kit for the silver/dayglo version. Perhaps at some point I will put these over the smaller ones and apply a gloss varnish. Thankyou to AMB for shedding some light on that front.
  7. Awesome, love the paint scheme with the yellow undersides. Jamie
  8. Hi everybody, as said my first RFI and first time using a few new techniques (varnishes for decals, washes) so be gentle! I am also well aware of a MAJOR gaffe I made on the tail.... Have done many RAF planes but I was so focused on positioning I put them on the wrong way round . Aside from that I'm very pleased with myself and the finish, my best ever I think. I opted for the RAF Valley based squadron as I was on annual camp there twice with the ATC. Also painted the wings in Hu 166 as I have seen pictures of them like this, and it is a sexy grey... Though I haven't a clue if this is accurate. Perhaps someone could enlighten me. Also apologies for the poor quality smartphone pictures and lack decent setting, the bathroom just happens to have nice bright lights!
  9. Beautiful work and a great subject. The Anson has such a beautiful shape to it and you've done it justice.
