I looked though several Yefim Gordon book.... hard to say!

not sure if there is any significant difference, I'd assume the Soviet airframes had nuclear capability that would show in the cockpit, irrespective though if 9.12 or 9.13.....

then there is 9.12A and 9.12B..... for Warsow Pakt and other friendly nations.....

anybody  knows for sure and has photos to share??

allegedly 9.13 (ex Moldovian Fulcrums?) -control panel lower right with orange buttons

    the rest seems identical....

    but then come upgrade cockpits.....

like the Serbian ones, or even more so Ukrainian BM.....

    Stop scaring me man!

  2. was the headlight bracket on IDF Cents the same as NATO ones?

this looks like the original headlight for an Alef, moved to in front of the fender bracket for the later upgrades. (rather haphazardly too, basically put everything on stilts)

I'm wondering if the upper protection hoop was the same width as the light mounting bracket, on this one it seems to have been 'made to fit'.

period pics are inconclusive. @Das Abteilung

Hmm, the 9-13 variant seems to be out of stock now. Their prices are also veeery high. The ebay option is cheaper, even if it has a longer delivery time.

Unfortunately, for anyone wanting to do a Ukrainian 'digital' Fulcrum, the DN Models mask set is going to be practically impossible to find for a while. A statement on their website says they won't make any more until the war is over, out of respect. Which I find disarmingly honourable for the 21st century!

Ahem, they seem to have changed their minds..

Happy and surprised to see they arrived and hope the decals survived the wet boxes ?

Yeah, I they were in ziploc bags.

Have to say that when the situation finally improves, I might just get more of their stuff.

They and UA will need a lot of help when the smoke clears.

  5. Ordered the three Wingsy A5M Claudes on Dec 16 2021.

Shipped Dec 22 2021, no tracking number, got one on Jan 14 2022

Told them nothing had arrived on Feb 19 2022

Ruslan was extremely apologetic, an was going to start an inquiry with UkrPoshta.

Then the excrement hit the propellor.....

Told him not to worry, bigger things to worry about.

    wrote it off basically.

    Today the package came...

The crushed site was moist as well.

Asked the delivery guy if I could reject it, he said, "sure, no problem, they'll just send it back"

So I explained It came from the Ukraine, he rolled his eyes...

I hadn't the heart to send it back, as I had already written it off due to the war.

Turns out the kits are fine, boxes are done for though.....

    who's a lucky bugger then?

From the kills this ghost is apparently racking up, it sounds a bit like they're playing Ace Combat, which has a back story similar to what you wrote, actually.

Basically, shoot down planes, get rewards. Use rewards to buy some other old, iconic fighter jet like a Mirage 2000, Starfighter, or MiG-29. Use more of the rewards, and the on base / in cave resident genius to soup it up and buy better missiles or special ammo for the cannon. Take off, shoot down a dozen more jets. Get rewards. Repeat.

When it's over, retire quietly to your log cabin on a secluded lake and serenade eagles with your cello.

    another Airwolf fan I see.....😉

  7. Thinking about a backstory for a legend (and a GWH Mig-29 9-13)

And thought, nobody knows him, not even the UAAF...

So he uses a -29 from storage, ugly, weathered, worn. But as Solo would say, "she has it where it counts!"

He operates from highways (everyday another one).

His support team are like the plane, old, experienced, strong.

They scrounge and steal parts ammo and missiles whenever, wherever they can.

So I'm thinking old grey-grey camo, with chipped nat insignia, hasn't been cleaned is 5 years.

But has 5 freshly painted RU kill markings.

At the end of the war, the mig is parked up.

"She did well this one", the Ghost says, softly stroking the intake one more time.

Then he walks away, into legend...

Two or three years after the end of the war, a kid finds the Mig, hidden in a forest, with xxxx kill marks, looking as though the ghost just left it.

    The legend was real.....!

    What is your story?
