  1. Help!

I'm looking for cockpit images of a -15, specifically the sidewalls.

The Manual I have is from 1945, and has later version cockpit pics.

    added side quest...

any way to find out what spec a mustang was built with?

    44-15041 Petie 3rd.

I have the Eduard kit, with their Brassin cockpit.

They give three possible configs for a D-15+, but do not tell you what the boxes etc are...😒

Shame the most comprehensive unit history makes no mention of camo colours. The pics I've seen, only appear to show two colours.

Even asked Dale through FB, he checked his notes, but nothing came up.

I think the David Parker build thread was on the AFV modelling forum which is now defunct, with all the info conveniently transferred to the 'Superking ' book

  3. Trojca is not 'one of the best' ask Hilary Doyle.

As I said before, David Parker makes a very good case for the 505 Tigers being three colour.

I myself will do the kit 505 winter camo with the green whitewashed. (a 'whif' to be sure)

Dale Ritters 'charging knights on the eastern front' the most comprehensive unit history of 505 sadly makes no mention of any camo at all.

Looking at the numbering. Sorry lettering of the sprues. The following are missing from those shown.

    I, K, L, M .

My guess is there will be variations on a theme at a later date,

Remember this kit will be a money cow for Airfix so they will maximise the mouldings to the full.

Wouldn't hold my breath....how many variants have they done on the other 1/24 kits?

  5. The hastags in the post are all the standards, EXCEPT the Skyhawk.

Only tags Airfix, Tamiya and Revell

Love the idea of the SD1!

However, I'm not sure of the nose profile. It looks a bit 'blunt' to my eye.

    Cheers,

    Alan.

    Agreed, it looks very blunt!

  7. Have been able to get my hands on a Mono/Dragon release of this kit.

    It is tiny!

Thinking of finding the cheapest Miniart T-34 I can find to transplant the interior bits (following all relevant literature of course!)

I have some AM stuff (obligatory Aber sets, resin radio's, ammo etc)

    Any hints/tips/pitfalls?
