Not trying to be THAT guy, but I wouldn't trust that drawing for shape. It's normal for engineering drawings to use a more 'schematic' depiction for the main aircraft dimensions

Wow, the amount of detectivework you have to do is shocking for a kit like this. And tbh, I'm quite underwhelmed at the level of detail provided, it seems somewhere in between a Tamiya 1/20 - 1/12 kit.

Would care to expand a bit on the 'legal' implications of building your own? I read some about the welding, how about the other stuff? Seems you have to do some rather extensive bookkeeping regarding certification. Is it like : certified parts assemble into a certified sub- assembly, assembles into a certified aircraft?
