Simply awesome. How did you print the clear parts? I have printed the windshield and canopy parts with clear resin for my ongoing 3D Blackbird/Oxcartproject but without applying an additional clear cote it is not possible to get crystal clear parts.

    Serkan

I did not print this kit. Just buy all complete Printed kit from Russian. But in Viet Nam; i have a friend can print clear part well. In will ask him to share some experience to you.

    Beautiful composition!

But I have a small question - if this is a Soviet BMP, then why does it have a Latin letter S on its tail number? And the dark bandages on the faces of the fighters are a little confusing, at that time it was not practiced. Sorry for the quibbles.

Otherwise, everything is very cool! 👍

@Dmitriy1967 The S letter is my mistake. Now i known that.  Next time I won't do the same thing again.

and the dark scarf on the face i was intentionally painted like that to give the model a bit of an highlight even though I know it's wrong

    Thank you!

One question/ doubt I have is whether the 2-seaters had the middle wing pylon for the R-60 or not...the single seaters from the M3 upwards definitely did...

You are right. The Su 22 UM have not that middle pylon. But my customer (who is order me to buil this model for him) want to have this pylon. :)

That’s a super model - well done!  I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting that museum in Hanoi, but I have been to the one in Ho Chi Minh, which was totally fascinating.  Your Mig-21 looks very convincing, representing an aircraft that’s been on display outside for years.  Knowing the climate there very well, it’s amazing the real one is still in such good condition!

    Thank you for your praise!!
There are many copies of this aircraft in museums in Vietnam, And the one you are seeing in the picture is the original on display in Ha Noi

  5. Hello everyone

Today I would like to introduce to you one of our national treasures
The MiG 21 F96-number 5121 was one of the first fighters of the Vietnamese People's Air Force, participating in the air defense campaign to defeat the US B52 strategic ambush on Hanoi and Hai Phong. and some other localities in the North in December 1972 . It shot down 05 American aircraft, including 01 B52 aircraft flown by pilot Pham Tuan on the night of December 27, 1972. At the command post, on the bright screen, the image of the US B52 "Super Flying Fortress" was recorded on fire.
Despite the lack of long-range radar and fewer missiles than the US multi-role fighters of the same time, in the hands of Vietnamese pilots, with an innovative way of fighting, the MIG21 made a miracle. Up to 50 countries have been using MIG21, but at that time, only the Vietnam Air Force used MIG1 to attack and shoot down B52 directly.

at 1/48 scale, the academy does this pretty well

    Thanks for watching!
