  1. Hi Dave, Just wanted to show my appreciation of your wonderful model the 1/48 Mistercraft Sopwith F1 Camel, I think it looks lovely and quite understand your comment about Mistercraft kits, I made their 1/72 Curtiss Hawk 75, the kits plastic was terrible, but, the decals I had worked well. However, I think the hard work is for all to see in above.
  2. I am not usually a 1/48th modeller but I like the decals being offered so advanced ordered my copies from the Big H.
  3. This is fantastic and I like the weathering on the wings, a lovely build and finish Thank you for sharing it with us.
  4. Yes worth checking out after I had disappointment using normal super glue, regards Colin.
  5. Thank you for your kind comments, I enjoyed building this kit very much. Yes as I said, it's injection molded plastic + resin details and a vacuum formed canopy. The kit went together with little fuss, the plastic was attached to the runners with a quite thick ejector(?) pins and a good quality razor saw was used to remove them, the plastic was soft and easy to work with and responded well to being filed to remove the ejector (?) pins from the runners. The model needed a little filler where the fuselage joins and is easily sanded back with wet wet n dry paper till it's smooth. I then brush painter with Humbrol 56 in two layers both thinned by dipping my brush in good quality white spirit before putting the paint on. I recommend this kit for more experienced modeller. Recently KORA kits have been appearing in this format, previously they were resin offerings. Hope the above is helpful ? Regards Colin.
  6. Please find posted below my completed model of the Curtiss Wright SNC-1 Falcon in 1/72b y KORA Models, I finally got use my Sierra Scale Decals sheet that I have had in the stash for a very long time. The kit is of mixed media (i.e: IM Plastic for main details + parts, plus resin details and a vacuum formed canopy x 2 copies - Thank goodness and a decal sheet plus a mask set for the wing walks) I thoroughly enjoyed building this kit, it requires a lot of patience, dry fitting - but, no fit problems encountered, just a little filler here and there. I will be building more kits from this range. I hope you all like it.
  7. Another interesting and lovely build Jerzy, how I wish I had your scratch building skills, particularly in casting your own parts. Best regards Colin.
  8. Lovely build and finish, I am so envious of modellers who can build and rig bi-planes. Bi-planes and rigging is my modelling Nemesis ! Is the Ez-Line product erm, easy to use ? I am sure their are some boxing's that come with a catapult.
  9. Nice build and finish Ryan, you always build and choose a color scheme of interest for me. Thank you for sharing your work, more please !
  10. Lovely built, finished model and diorama, looks really convincing, thank you for sharing your work. For all my resin fixings I use a product called Gorilla Super Glue Gel, available on ebay. You even have time to make adjustments before the glue sets.
  11. Thank you very much for your advice on how to build the struts on this model, much appreciated. And I will being looking at the link too, regards Colin.
  12. Michael, Thank you very much for answering my post and for the additional information regarding the ordered PZL-Los, most interesting. Best regards Colin.
  13. Thank you Gentleman for your confirmation on this subject, I do build 'what if's', but, mainly if that particular country had actually placed an order for the aircraft and not received it.
  14. Hi Jerzy, their are currently 2 for sale on ebay from someone in Germany for a very high buy it now price if your interested, regards Colin.
  15. Another excellent build and finish of this rarely seen completed model, my congratulations to you Sir. I expect this model was quite tricky to build due to the strut arrangements? I am really enjoying your builds on SCW subjects, more please !
  16. I am very interested in this aircraft from this source, their kits are nice to build and you end up with an interesting model to and I liked Homebee's post showing the molds.
  17. Jerzy, thank you very much for the information I was unaware of that fact, now I know! Could you or Michael please clarify if Finland actually used any as I have seen artwork for the PZL Los in Finish colors. Thank you Colin. Michael, thank you very much for your information and additional information about the PZL P.11 and P.24. Best regards Colin.
  18. I am very pleased to see that the boxing by Fly Models will be in Rumanian colors !
  19. Nice one Jerzy, I have always wanted one of these in my collection, but, cannon win the AML kit on ebay when it appears, please continue to spoil us with your magnificent work, regards Colin.
  20. What a fantastic build, this is a wonderful model and I amazed at the size of it, had no idea this aircraft was that big, thank you for sharing your work. Regards Colin.
  21. Hi Jerzy, many thanks for your reply and advice - I will try this method when I have built the kit, regards Colin.
  22. An interesting looking aircraft Jerzy, no problem with you re-posting some of your earlier builds !! Question - My next build is going to be the 1/72 Gamma 2E from Azur-Frrom and I am wondering how to achieve the weathered allover green effect - The bare metal showing thru on the fuselage and wings, I use a brush only for my models, advice welcome please, regards Colin.
  23. Quite agree Jerzy, I'd much rather spend my hard earned cash on a model aircraft kit I want, rather than on lots of beer - Yes, I do enjoy a good pint, but, once in awhile. My hobbies come first and I get more satisfaction from building them over say a month than spending the same in evening down the pub having a pint and a meal. Enjoy the hobby, regards Colin.
  24. Hi Jerzy, another excellent build, I am really enjoying your SCW posts, thank you for posting them, regards Colin.
