I am not sure what exactly structure is subject of your question.

Here is a big set of photos of R-31

    http://www.belgian-wings.be/Webpages/Navigator/Photos/MilltaryPics/interbellum/Renard R31/Renard R-31 Frontpage.html

    Many details are seen there.

Looking at those photos I think I've noticed one problem.

The Kestrel engine drived propeller anticlockwise.

And in photo of sprues it looks clockwise

I hope there is still  time for correction...

    Hi J-W,

Oh dear !  One for the aftermarket guys I think, just a bit of shame, however I shall still go with the kit as it's the only IM plastic one available.

Could the gentleman be referring to the 'block' on the fuselage where the wing fits onto ?  That's all I can think of ?

And I am still looking forward to getting this kit.

    Best regards

    Colin.

  2. Hi J-W,

Thank you for posting the profiles of the Renard R.31 and the in the box profile, that will please me very much, I think this aircraft is just a stunning and elegant, I applaud Frrom Azur for their choice.  I hope we can persuade them to produce the Fairey Fox in 1/72 as well.  I know their is a resin kit of the Fairey Fox from Omega Resins but, unluckily for me I don't have a very good success rate with full resin kits.

Also grateful thanks to Homebee for posting details of Avions series of books we need for this model, my school boy French will be needed !

  3. Hi Adey,

This thread is just wonderful and I have enjoyed very much reading your and other posts on this subject, it's a trip back thru time and pleasant childhood memories.

I once owned a FROG Herald with Malaysian decals mentioned above and it was a bagged item, I bought it at the Maidstone toy fair many years ago for about £18.00 if I remember correctly, later on I sold it on with a number of other kits from my stash, which grows and shrinks from time to time.  I love the hobby very much and wish I still had that FROG Herald kit.

Very best wishes to you all,

    Regards Colin.

  4. Hi Martin,

An excellent and colourful addition to your collection, glad to see you still enjoy building Latin American subject :goodjob:

I find that the Humbrol Metalcote pain range is good to use and has good coverage (I paint by brush) and you have had success with the Humbrol 209 to, I learn't you need a white undercoat and thin layers to achieve a good result like your build (again using a brush).

    More please.

    Best regards

Some Romanian PZL.23 had German MG 81Z mounted on back, if IBG really wants to cover literary every variant, maybe they add those.

    Hi Botan,

Thank you for the information regarding the PZL.23, much appreciated and will help me make a more accurate model.

Yes - the P.11f (and 75218 P.11b) have been never flown with Polish insignia.

On the other side you can also build the P.11a and P.11c wearing Romanian yellow crosses.

In total Romania (with 14 P.7s, 190 P.11s and 30 P.24s) was the second main user of the PZL "gullwings" (Poland had 151 P.7s, 201 P.11s and no P.24s at all).

    Cheers

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for the reply and for answering my question, much appreciated.

    Best regards
