Hi Clive, and thanks. I won't bore you with the details, but I have had a worsening of my health issues and am probably going to end up medically retired and possibly registered as long-term unfit for work. I'm finding it increasingly hard to walk and I'm afraid it meant that I had to keep postponing my visit to the Tank Museum. In the end I had to admit that I wasn't going to make it. I was very upset about that to be honest, but I did give the ticket to a mate of a mate and he said he made good use of it.

I don't know if everyone understands, but I THOUGHT they had vanished. Turns out they WERE there, but not visible on my laptop screen The like buttons are about a foot to the right of this post, 'off the screen' and to get to them I have to press the RIGHT DIRECTIONAL ARROW (BOTTOM ROW, FAR RIGHT OF KEYBOARD) This whole page will then move to the left, and the like buttons appear over there>>>>>

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite laptop, with internet explorer.

Hi mate,

Was a bit of a worry to have a kip, wake up and find a great big red bruise on my face, bleeding beneath the skin about 2inches square. Looked like I had a huge strawberry birthmark. NHS helpline told me to get to A&E within the hour and that they'd be expecting me. Rushed there and got told 4hrs to be seen. Sod that, I went home. I figured if it was something like meningitis or scarlet fever I'd soon know about it and could phone 999.

Anyway, after 12hrs it seems to have faded a bit. I reckon it was a burst blood vessel. Got a cold at moment (I don't usually catch colds) so possibly the coughing, sneezing caused it to burst?

So, looks like I'm not heading for the big diorama in the sky and I'll be continuing with this one!
