  1. Fabulous! That's a great result from an old kit. I've done a few Frog kits from my dearly departed Dad's stash, and there's really something to be said about the (sometimes brutal) simplicity. Such an anachronism, but a great subject. Good times. ☺
  2. Top result! Like the Fitter. Nice to see it in a different scheme. I made one in a Forca Aerea Peruviana scheme (MisterCraft kit) - but it didn't survive my last house move
  3. That's an eye-wateringly fabulous scratch build! Top result!
  4. Top result. Nice to see a Hs-129 in a desert scheme.
  5. Brilliant! Top result ☺ Gotta love the Tonka. And now sorely missed.
  6. Big result on a little chopper! Congratulations. I saw one one these on the back of an Indian Navy frigate in Fremantle a couple of years ago, and I bought the Heller kit.
  7. Well done! I built this kit (didn't even attempt rigging) and indeed it is a delight. Bought it from a web shop a few years ago reasonably priced. What's not to like about a biplane floatplane?
  8. Nice! I've often thought about a whiffer with a nose intake and over-under turbojets similar in arrangement to the EE Lightning.
  9. That's a top result! You've managed to pick up the subtle variation in greys you were after. It certainly looks the part. Never seen a Merlin up close, but the Royal Australian Navy and USN choppers I've seen on various ships definitely have that same look. 'Aftermarket' equipment scabbed on too. They must take a hammering from salt and weather.
  10. Oh that's nice! I'm a fan of some of those Heller kits. My first kit back into the modelling world after a long hiatus, was a Heller Super Etendard.
  11. Top result! HobbyBoss kit I'm guessing? I have a soft spot for the twin-tub Corsair.
  12. You're correct, the Airfix kit is indeed a nice kit, and you've achieved a top result with your model. The 1960s/70s/80s jets are probably my favourite subject.
  13. Nice Gannet! I like the AEW variant. The blue and red roundel on that colour scheme looks really good. The radars themselves have quite a history - Avenger/Skyraider/Gannet or something! How's the Sword kit?
  14. Top result! There's no real right or wrong when it comes to paint. I'm guessing planes in wartime were faded and repainted or just touched up here and there, as and when the opportunity arose when in the out in the field. And as for weathering, it's anyone's guess!
  15. Top result. It actually goes to show you don't need to spend money on the latest kit and all sorts of aftermarket stuff to get a cracking model of a classic aeroplane! Bonza!
  16. Top result! Space has always dictated that if I did a chopper, I'd need to fold the rotors. This is very inspiring indeed...
  17. Top result! How sturdy is it? I've often considered using card models for background terrain on the wargaming board, as well as aircraft, but they need to be somewhat durable...
  18. Brilliant! Gotta love a good result from an unloved kit.
