My obsession with the amazing imcth "Fine Structure" models has finally run out of steam!
I have just finished their Shinden, having previously built the ASM Zero, P51D Mustang and Bf109G.
This is my build log http://shindenbuildlog.tumblr.com/
I hope you enjoy itI decided to write my build log in one gigantic burst after finishing the project. I find this is more effective than a "real time' episodic account and is much easier on the author (me) and the reader (you)

This is my 3rd imcth "Fine Structure" model. These are without doubt the best models kits available today. Forget plastic. Get brave. Give them a try!

I'll post some pics as soon as I set up a Photobucket account. I thought I'd be able to upload my pics direct from my laptop

The Zero was my first "fine structure" kit by imcth of Tokyo. These are extraordinary kits, with the aircraft structure in photo-etched stainless steel and engine, undercarriage, weapons, etc in cast white metal. They are VERY different, present interesting challenges and build into superb works of art.
I wrote a blog of my build on Tumblr. You can see it here:
I am now building imtch's P-51 Mustang and blogging the build here:

I didn't keep a record for this one (I have built 4 of their kits). However, the P51 http://p51mustangbuild.tumblr.com/ wasabout 70 hours, so 70 - 80 on this one.
