  1. All that’s dead, Stuart MacBride, a Logan Macrae series humorous police thriller set in Aberdeen
  2. Air Force 1 as well as a few foreign military heading for Glasgow. Missed it as I was in the shower, so only saw it on the trackers!
  3. Not the way it was 'alles uber der platz' as @PLC1966 saw as well. Unless it was orbiting waiting to be called over. I thought it was escorting the voyager to begin with as it's the fancy one for politicians to use. Very odd for a Sunday night indeed.
  4. Were they doing a night refuelling exercise? The Voyager went round and round for a while with nothing else showing.
  5. Voyager ZZ336 and Typhoon ZK304 just flew over noisily, heading east in formation, out over the coast according to ADSB.
  6. Avro Anson black undersides and invasion stripes, G-VROE, according to ADSB, did a circuit then landed at Tollerton. Took off and headed north later.
  7. Nice choice. Is that a wee westie on the intake @stew dapple?
  8. Two Ospreys flying west, over the house. Funnily enough saw one last week up in North Notts, also flying west.
  9. Most of mine didn't float very well in the stream at the bottom of the garden, apart from Nelson
  10. Jeff, good result for your efforts, I only got as far as grey, red and black for my old Airfix ships. Don
  11. @Ex-FAAWAFU glad to hear you are repaired and on the mend. Looks like a nice relaxing build in front of you. Don
  12. Must have been, Aurora kitted it? also apologies for interruption... Good work so far Don
  13. Amazing attention to detail! Have you got your hands on Marmite Hot Cross Buns yet? Don
  14. The Arado 240 looks cool, I remember it from the William Green books!
  15. @ThreeGreens that the old Merit kit, I remember back in the 60s, my gran buying it for me on holiday in Coatbridge, then building it at her house, cant remember how I got it home Looked like a Swordfish to me. Don
  16. I have a copy of one of the few pics of a 101 Lancaster at Ludford, taken for the Illustrated London News, I believe, and given to the ground crews gathered in it, including my dad. For some reason RAF allowed them to go to a bomber station to photograph all the planes, crews, ground staff etc, before someone realised 101 was meant to be secret... Apparently a whole squadron had to be flown in to pose instead. The exception was one plane being serviced, sadly the details of the undernose aerials are masked by three sheepish erks holding an engine cover in front of it. Don
  17. Always seemed to be a Chipmunk flying over us in Fife in the sixties, now I know where they were going! Don
  18. I guess @Procopius and @stevehnz will have seen British Muzzleloaders and Forgotten Weapons on youtube? Interesting comparisons of bolt action rifles and development histories. Don
  19. Hi, great work as usual. Re the struts, could the ground crew have painted them around the Sopwith transfers, rather than over and reapply? Would they even have had spare transfers in the field? Don
  20. Nice bit of work on this kit. Call me slow, but when did the RAF go to only one roundel on top and bottom? Don
