Tiger Hobbies have just been informed the Kotare Spitfire Brian Lane has cleared customs and will be collected from the Airline and at Tiger Hobbies on 22 Jun 2023.
Most of our trade customers will have their model within 48/72 hours of landing at Tiger Hobbies.
Tiger Hobbies RRP on this model is £93,99, thats the max you should pay from one of our approved retailers.
£93.99 with all taxes paid, Ex vat USD Price is $95,00 to $97.00
Tiger Hobbies price in USD including Taxes and delivery is approx $115.99
£109.00 RRP is another importers price, not ours.

About a week ago we go some info from our shipping company of some spare air shipment capacity from China, within their groupage at a decent rate.
So we took the opportunity to Airship most of our Kotare Spitfire order for K32601 Spitfire Brain Lane.
This model was only released last week and its already arrived in Manchester Airport and awaiting customs clearance, so should be with us within a few days
Our RRP will be £93.99 including UK delivery and all Taxes paid.
We have imported enough to cover our confirmed UK trade orders, the rest of the stock will arrive in about 4 or 5 weeks by surface movement.

Tiger Hobbies have sent our pre-order information to our retail network about the new Great Wall Hobby F-14B Tomcat.
We have set a limited pre-order RRP for our trade at £99.99 ( THEY MAY OFFER A LITTLE DISCOUNT) but this offer ends on the 15th Jun 2023
Tiger Hobbies will not accept further trade orders after that date until it lands in Aug 2023 and the RRP will be a little higher.

Tiger Hobbies took a break from importing Very Fire
These are the reasons.
These are very large models and take up a good amount of shipping space, so when containers were cost us upwards of £12,000 the RRP of a basic Iowa class ship would have gone form £84.99 to £134.99.
Also the cost price went up 20% and couple this with poor exchange rates and expensive shipping, Very Fire were not viable for import.
Things have changed, the GBP has got a little stronger, the shipping costs have come down, so we have a new RRP of £105.99, more than our original but not £134.99.
Finally Hobbyboss is trying to sell a 1/350 Iowa class at £184.99 in the UK and this has helped the get Very Fire moving again,

Tiger Hobbies have new released the information on the new Zoukie Mura 1/32 FW190A-4 to our approved retailers
The Max RRP you should pay for this with all imports, delivery and taxes is £105.99.
We managed to get a better exchange rate and better shipping than the last issue of the BF109G which was £114.99
We have informed our trade customers we will not accept orders after the 20 of Jun 2023.
So if you are interested in this model please pre-order before this date.
After that we will remove the listing until the model lands at Tiger Hobbies.

You should read my post on my thread, it due to the much better exchange rate and the much better shipping rates we got on the 2nd release compared to the first release.
The RRP on the first was 99.99, RRP on the 2nd release is £93.99

I wonder why you can by it from Jadlam at that price, I presume you can all figures this out.
The ones would could not figure it out would have gone direct to Kotare and paid think end of £140.00 if they were honest about the import costs.

I have been watching with interest the various reviews on Youtube of the new 1`/32 Kotare Spitfire, most are very good.
But one thing missing from the various UK reviews was the price they paid when it came to all the import cost thrown in, in fact only one was honest about the price they paid, which was 40% more than buying from either of the UK distributors, even before dealer discount.
One of the complaints from this reviewer was they were not aware of any UK distributor, which had some truth behind it, as Tiger Hobbies were barred from advertising this product for a long time,
Below is the timeline
August 2021 Tiger Hobbies enquired about been a Kotare Distributor.
August 2022 First indication of Kotare willing to work with Tiger Hobbies
November 2022 Conformation of distribution.
November 2022 Tiger Hobbies confirmed our RRP of £99.99 Max price you should pay in the UK to our trade customers. Tiger Hobbies we not allowed to go out with the price before this date, no matter what other distributors in the UK were doing, which we stated was unfair.
December 2022 Promotions in Airfix Modellers World.
03 Dec 2022 Tiger Hobbies confirmed our order to Kotare.
End of March 2023 Delays in production so we managed to get our Kotare Order to our shipping agents in Hong Kong.
End of March Kotare was given shipping space in our March Container.
15 May 2023 our Container will land at UK Port.
Quite a lot of you will have paid or will be paying a lot more for this model than £99.99 and some of our retailers are offering this for £86.00 onwards.
On the next release try to be more patient and save some money.
